This place is a gem. It is always spotlessly clean and the fish is flaky in light batter and the chips are beautifully cooked. There can be huge queues at busy times, but that is demonstrative of the fact that the food is all cooked to order and that nothing is sitting in a heated cabinet waiting to be purchased.
Have a treat, and walk down the adjacent road to Fisherman's Bank and sit by the harbour on a warm sunny evening with a chilled bottle of Chablis (take a fork) and enjoy a fantastic view and the best fish and chips in the area.
It is open daily (save for Monday and Sunday) at lunch time and early evening (5 - 8 'ish). The times are displayed on the door. Parking is on the street but you can usually find somewhere to park very close by.
The family who run the restaurant are very welcoming and quite clearly enjoy what they do.....preparing first class fish and chips.
