“Wonderful dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

On a recent visit to the Bluebell restaurant with our book club we had the Early Bird Meal which I can highly reccommend. It was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice on the menu. I have been to the Bluebell on various occasions and have always found the food to be of a very high standard. The service is excellent and you can be sure of a very warm welcome from proprieters Sue and Geoff.

“The best restaurant in the Forest of Dean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

I have been to the Bluebell Restaurant on numerous occasions over the years, as i live close to it, and i have always found the food to be exceptional, and good value. The atmosphere is so relaxed, and the service is excellent. The proprietors, Sue and Geoff are lovely people who pride themselves on making your visit a memorable one. Nothing is too much trouble, if they can accomodate your request, they will and always with a smile. I am going for a meal on the 19th of December with my husband, and i cannot wait! I hope if you are ever in the area you will come to this restaurant, you won't regret it!

“God but not as good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

Time was when this place was a special treat and it is still a good meal out.But very little seems to change on the menu, which is starightforwards British, but no curry. The way they look after you is still exceptional but the staff are not quite in posession of the finesse which was once shown. There never used to be a feeling of but rushed but now there is.
It is a little oasis of warmth and comfort and you get a huge table, no crowding. A separate room is idea for groups of up to 18 or so.
If you have never been, you will have missed out on a good exerience, which everyone should have once

“Exceptional food and menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

I have just spent 2 delightful nights staying at Forest House B&B - hosts Sue and Geoff are very welcoming and helpful; the house is delightful and full of character. A wonderful surprise was the high standard of the Bluebell Restaurant meal I had last night - it was superb and the wait staff just perfect. A small but absolutely fantastic gem in Coleford - stop for a meal at least if you are passing through - I doubt anything else in the area would compare.

“family visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

There were 18 of us for this birthday celebration and we were given the smaller room to ourselves. It was a nice atmosphere and we were looked after very well from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent and everyone commented on how nicely served it all was. There was no delay considering our numbers and nothing was too much trouble for the very helpful staff. I would definately visit again
