“Farm Stay Sept 2011”

Embodies all that is best about B&B on a working farm. Welcoming, comfortable and with a delighful conservatory from which to appreciate the countryside while eating a delicious breakfast.Lovely area with good recreational and cultural activities for all ages and interests. Daphne's advice on local restaurants was appreciated. Highly recommended.

Loved this B&B and that fact that it is part of a farm. Walked around to see the animals during our stay which was great.
The room was very large. One of the biggest we have stayed in for a B&B and it was clean and well maintained.
The breakfast in particular was excellent. We were given so much food that we didn't even need to eat lunch that day!
Would definitely return

We stayed in Dryslade Farm for a week end in September. The accommodation was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely to have a separate lounge for guest use. The owners were welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. An excellent full English breakfast was served in the conservatory. This is a place we will come to again. It was a peaceful place to stay. We took our dog with us and she was made as welcome as we were. It was nice to have an en suite room on the ground floor near the front door so that we could let our dog out early in the morning and not disturb other guests. A very good B & B. The nearest pub, the Dog and Muffler is less than a mile away and well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room if taking a dog as this gives easy access to the garden.

Our room was nicely decorated and very clean and so comfortable that we wished that we were staying for more than just the one night. The view from the conservatory dining room was breathtaking as was the delicious breakfast. Daphne is a fine hostess with good knowledge of places to visit in the area. One day we hope to return to see the places we didn't have the time to visit and Dryslade Farm will be the first on the list for our place to stay.

We have recently spent 3 nights at this lovely farmhouse and couldn't have been made more welcome. The room was most comfortable, the breakfast superb, the owners so friendly and helpful and an excellent pub a mile up the road. We couldn't fault it in any way and will certainly make a return visit - our border collie is looking forward to it too!

The location was just on the edge of the Forest but within easy reach of the whole area and its attractions. Great, dog friendly pub just 15 minutes walk with great food and friendly staff.
The reception from Daphne was warm and Phil made himself available despite being a busy farmer.
The room was lovely with all of the things you expect from a great B & B.
The breakfast was superb, a great way to fuel up for a hard day of walking etc.
Flint the Parson Russell Terrier had a lovely holiday as well and had a great time exploring the farm. Warmest memory - tea on the lawn after a great day in the forest.

Room Tip: All rooms were great, with lots to look at from Primrose

My wife and I, mid sixties, needed B & B for two nights in Forest of Dean, so found Dryslade Farm on Internet. Trip Advisor reviews were excellent so we booked. Were not disappointed. On the contrary. A delightful, well-run farm B & B on the edge of ther Forest. Spotlessly clean. Daphne, the proprietress, most welcoming. Room (a twin) beautifully presented. Tea & coffee & biscuits in room. Use of fridge (and wine glasses!) on landing. Lovely rural setting with the gentle lowing of cows. Breakfast most appetising and far too much if you order the full English ( a challenge we accepted!) All-in-all a delightful B & B at affordable prices. Would happiliy return and can recommend unreservedly.
