Homely pub/restaurant in a great part of the Forest of Dean run by Cran and Sue. Sue is a competent, experienced cook and the Sunday roast with a choice of meats with all the trimmings was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection at a competitive price for a choice of one, two or three courses. Attentive service by friendly staff.
Unfortunately, there was no draught beer available only bottled draught which for a country pub was disappointing but the food made up for it with a reasonably priced bottle of wine.

Thank you for your review, I am pleased that you liked your meal, as you state we did not have Real Ale on draught, as I explained to you at the time we simply do not get sufficient trade for Draught Real Ale which would enable us to sell Draught Real Ale of a quality that our dinners would expect. Our response to this problem is to stock the equivalent Real Ales in bottles. I appreciate that this is not for the real purist. But I would rather stock the bottle than sell Real Ale that has gone off. I will, if requested provide, a cask of real ale subject to sufficient numbers attending a function and at the customers own expense.

Please be assured that if we ever get out of this country wide financial depression and sufficient customers start to drink/dine out, I will happily stock Real Ales and any other products my customers request.
