“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

We stayed in mid-February at The Enniskillen Hotel on a two-night 'Stay A Little Longer' break - 2 nights B & B with dinner on one evening. We arrived a little early on the Sunday afternoon but enjoyed a terrific and great value lunch in 'Wildes' in front of a roaring fire, whilst watching the Winter Olympics on the large screen television. We finished just in time to find that our room had just become available. Some reviewers have commented that the rooms are fairly small but we were more than happy. The shower was easily the best I've experienced in a hotel and spotlessly clean. The only thing we didn't like about the room was that there was quite a bit of noise from bottles being discarded outside during the Sunday afternoon, which we think probably was a result of the rooms being serviced (the hotel provides quests with bottled water in the room fridge) although this died down later. The only other fault was that we smelt cigarette smoke on a number of occasions, which we found coming from people smoking on the fire escape or drifted up from people smoking outside the Circle (the function room situated at the back of the hotel). This was not a massive problem but did stop us from having our window open as much as we would have liked. Otherwise, our stay was excellent. The staff really do make the hotel, they are so friendly, polite and attentive - you get the impression that they really do care about their patrons. The food was very good throughout our stay which included the aforementioned Sunday lunch, dinner and two breakfasts. Definitely would recommend this hotel, particularly on one of the packages offered. Thanks.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back may experience the smoke/noise we found but as there are only 35 rooms, I wouldn...

Couldn't wait to get back to this hotel and it was every bit as good as the first time. From the welcome at reception to the beautiful comfortable room, the delicious dinner in the restaurant on our 1st night and the fresh cooked breakfast each morning. Lovely to stay somewhere where your breakfast is cooked and served to you. Can't wait to go back. Well done Enniskillen Hotel

Room Tip: have stayed on 2 different floors and both great.

My husband and I decided to 'seize the moment' and headed to this hotel for just the 1 night on Saturday 1 February. Its not pretty on the outside and doesn't have a welcoming reception space but so what. Our room was cosy, clean and had everything you could want for 1 night. Its an old building that has been refurbished so slightly creaky floorboards but we were not disturbed by any noise carrying at all. The bathroom was big, small sink though, huge hot shower. A niggle was the very small towel, I like to wrap up after a shower but these were very small. The bed was very comfortable with very good pillows. A more centralised mirror at dressing table height would be good for getting ready - but then I am fussy.

The highlight of this hotel was the service and food. Alex welcomed us with the cocktail menu and looked after us from 4.30 until 7 when we left to get dressed for dinner. In the restaurant, Alex reappeared a served us throughout the meal. What a credit and such a lovely guy. All the staff were pleasnt but he stood out for us in terms of hospitality. In the morning after a few too many scoops (finished off in the hotel bar after a bit of a crawl and a catch up with an old friend and a chicken sandwich - long story) who appeared with our breakfast tray of hot tasty food but Alex!! Stil smiling and still working hard. Great guy. We slept well, the room was slighty warm, but window accessible and I would rather be warm than cold. All the food was delicous I loved the seabass and my husband's steak was one of the best he has eaten in a long while.

We would stay in the hotel again as its warm and friendly as is the town which was good for a few beers and a bit of craic on the spur of the moment. Well done on making customers feel wanted in your establishment and good luck to Alex and his fiance for their big day in Harvey's Point.

Cheers

just back from this fantastic 4 star boutique hotel. stayed 2 nights Tuesday to Thursday 13th feb 2014 .form our arrival the young and friendly staff made us feel very welcome.this was part of my birthday treat from my wife, and cant wait to stay here again.anyone reading my reviews will know I stay in a lot of boutique hotels in boston usa. although I did not pay as it was my birthday,my wife assured me the deal including breakfast, and one evening meal was very reasonable.the hotel has only been open about one year.the décor and furnishings are very good..the staff very friendly and helpfull. this hotel is as good as any I have stayed in including some 5 star hotels in boston.the food in the hotel was good, small but good menue, very well presented and quickly served.the bar specialises in fine whiskeys and good cocktails. stay here you will not regret it.note no pool or gym,not a problem unless you really need a spa

Room Tip: all rooms are good no noise problems check out the website, what you see,is what you get.also this ho...

We called in for lunch when we were in Enniskillen and weren't sure what to expect. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door and looked after very well. The lunch we had was excellent as was the service. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable whilst there. If we are near here again we will definitely stop off for food.
