“Excellent Hotel in A Superb Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel & again we were not disappointed. We were attending a wedding in the area & the reception was in the hotel so we booked for one of their special mid week breaks. The meal at the reception like the meal on the evening before was excellent. The breakfasts are also very good. The rooms are excellent. Our room had a bath , as well as a walk in shower, trouser press, hairdrier, safe, tea making facilities and of course the television, in fact all you need when away for a relaxing few days!! The leisure facilities are excellent with an outdoor hot tub and pool arobics in the evening if you so wish!! The staff were were excellent & very helpful and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel & the area to those who have not yet experienced it!

Room Tip: Best rooms are those overlooking the lake. ( but there is an extra charge! )

We were here recently for a wedding & stayed overnight. The hotel is lovely & clean, the layout of the room & view where the wedding was held is lovely! just a pity about the rain but then thats typical in Northern Ireland! The meal was very tasty & it was silver service which i love at weddings!
We stayed in a classic guest room which was very clean & nicely decorated, the bed & pillows were very comfy!
One thing that was a bit annoying was that we were told check in time was gauranteed at 3pm, our room wasnt ready till nearly 4pm. It was a bit irritating at the time as i wanted to check in & freshen up after the wedding service but had to wait awhile, although this didnt affect our overall stay
The breakfast was also tasty & the staff very pleasant too.
Didnt get the chance to use the pool & spa but my husband has promised to treat me sometime & visit again so i will def try it out then!

Dear "toetoes84"
Thank you very much for your kind review of your stay with us at the Killyhevlin while attending a wedding. Northern Ireland and unreliable weather do tend to go hand in hand and there are those who allege Fermanagh get more than its share of rain!! ... but you enjoyed your day anyway which is the main thing. We do our best to have rooms ready for a 3pm check-in but even the best made plans can go amiss due to a maintenance issue or an unforeseen late check out - apologies for the delay. We hope to see you return to get one of those well deserved spa treatments! Many thanks, Leigh Watson, HR manager.

We stayed at the Killyhelvin for my birthday weekend and to explore Fermanagh. This was the perfect location to do so. This is such a beautiful hotel with friendly staff, great rooms and room service. The food in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful with exceptional service. The grounds are amazing, there was 2 weddings on also but the place is so big it did not disturb us at all. I will definitely be returning here in the future. Lusty Beg not far from here and is also a must see, quaint little place.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be grand, we had one overlooking the lake beautiful!

love staying in this hotel, I find the staff always friendly the rooms/public area and leisure facilties clean and tidy. They have pet friendly rooms which we have stayed in and get a warm welcome always. Breakfast is has always been good as are the evening meals. Its a little bit of a walk to the town but if you dont drive the taxi's are not too pricey, but my husband and I and sometimes doggie have walked in no probs. I have also had some spa treatments and found the experience wonderful. Looking forward to returning in 2013!

We're just back home after a 2 night/3day stay at the Killyhelvin for a family wedding.
There were a large number of us staying and the hotel staff catered for each one of us brilliantly. We requested a particualr room having been there before and were allocated it.
We used the pool, jacuzzi, hot tub etc. Wonderful on a cold Fermanagh day.

For dinner on our first night my family grouping was a table for 12. I have coeliac disease and am lactose intolerant also. The kitchen catered for me excellently. They prepared my meal with this in mind. My husband tasted it and said it was identical to his taste wise. At breakfast I brought my own bread in a toaster bag and was informed they have a seperate toaster which was a nice touch. It was a similar story for the wedding meal. I was so impressed at how well they catered for me so discreetly with minimum fuss.

The room was spotless with extra pillows if required. We asked for a late checkout and this was agreed at no extra cost.

Even though the hotel was busy the service over the few days was first class. We all agreed we had a wonderful stay and look forward to being able to visit again in the future.

Well done to all.

Room Tip: Ask for a lakeview room as you get a wonderful view and its quieter

I have stayed frequently in hotels in the Fermanagh area, this being our first stay at the Killyhevlin and overall matched our expectations. Check in was fast, room was clean and spacious if a little on the cold side and had a great view overlooking lough Erne. Had dinner in town on first night and ate in the hotels Silks restaurant the next night, service was excellent as was the food. I would return on a similar 2 nights bed and breakfast with 1 dinner as this was good value. Only downsides would be the coldness of the room and also be prepared for a bit of a wait for a bath as the water pressure was very low.

Room Tip: Ask for a lakeview room

Stayed here for a friends wedding. The staff were very accommodating and the food was amazing. No request was too much for the dining staff who were very helpful and accommodating despite being extremely busy, particularly during sunday carvery. Service was quick and efficient.

The bedroom was however very warm which combined with staying next to a room with a noisy young family who were awake from 7am meant we didn't get much sleep. Also the shower pressure was very weak although I did have a lovely bubble bath and there was more than enough water pressure for this.

This is a lovely hotel and in a beautiful setting. I would recommend it for a special treat but consider it a bit over priced.
