“Out of this world!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

We have just returned from a long weekend staying in Badger's Hollow. What can I say about this place .... it is absolutely wonderful ...totally sublime. The barn is so well equipped and the setting is gorgeous ... the only noises and sights are the wildlife around. The attention to detail in the barn is just top quality from the cream tea and fresh fruit on arrival to the eco friendly products. There is everything you could possibly wish for and more ... the kitchen is better equipped than any I have experienced in a rental accommodation. The under floor heating and log burner add that extra comfort on chilly evenings and the jacuzzi bath, candles and aromatherapy oils are perfectly welcoming at the end of a long day sight seeing. The nearest town of Fowey has some wonderful gift shops, pubs and restaurants. Colin the host at Coriander Cottages is so helpful and accommodating without being intrusive, he gave us some great advice on places to visit and how to get there. This place totally recharges your batteries and makes you feel so very relaxed and happy. We will most definitely be back.

My husband and i stayed here for 2 nights which just wasn't long enough!! White Willow barn was beautiful. Everything you could possibly need for an absolutely luxurious stay was catered for. We were met by the owner Colin who was a genuinely helpful gentleman and nothing was to much trouble. In the huge fridge was a fresh cream tea, milk and eggs. A fruitbowl on the kitchen worktop filled with fruit and to much more to mention. We made use of the jacuzzi bath there were candles and aromatherapy oils in the bathroom pure relaxation. The log burner made the evenings cosy although the under floor heating provided more then enough warmth. setting was beautiful and i could go on for hours about just how wonderful this barn was. Go see for yourself. We will certainly be returning.

We stayed in White Willow cottage for a week and had a very relaxing stay. The setting for the cottages is lovely with gorgeous views and very quiet. We made use of the log fire and jacuzzi bath for romantic evenings in. Fowey is a 2min drive away with lots of great pubs (the ship inn is great) and restaurants (we loved Sams on the beach). We will certainly be telling all our friends to stay here when they are in the area.

Room Tip: White Willow bedroom is seperate from the main living area.

My girlfriend and I were driving around the Cornish coast for a long weekend in early October and stumbled across picturesque Fowey. It was late and we were looking for somewhere to stay. in our search, we stumbled across the beautiful farmyard that had been restored and converted - we didn't think it would be in our price range but decided to ask the host anyway! He took our coats from us, guided us around a beautiful little luxurious cottage which he was clearly very proud of. Features inside the cottage included a jacuzzi bath which was sunk into the floor, under-floor heating, and a huge kitchen / living room which was like something you would see in the movies! The kind gentleman offered the whole cottage to us for b&b at a significantly reduced price because we were young, tired, and he had no other bookies that night. He kindly recommended places to eat in Fowey and gave us tips on how to get into the village. The next day he had prepared one of the most amazing breakfasts I have ever had! A huge bowl of fresh fruit salad, continental croissants and pastries, mmmm. We shot off early to see the Eden project, using the directions used by locals rather than the main route (shaving off lots of time!). The cottages are simply amazing, we will definitely be back. For those interested in eco-holidays, this is a must - so much thought and love had been put in to this conversion. You will be well-taken care of at Coriander Cottages.

Room Tip: Both cottages are amazing. We stayed at the smaller of the two

We have recently returned from a short 6 night break in the Badger's Hollow barn at Coriander Cottages and wish we hadn't had to leave. The barn conversions have been wonderfully done - with all the mod cons one could wish for (even some you never knew you needed like a TV by the jacuzzi), and all with an eco friendly conscience.

The trick to a great self catering holiday is to stay somewhere so nice you don't want (or need) to go out in the evening and in this case the owners have succeeded in doing just that. The kitchen is superbly equipped and the living space is comfy - I'd love to return in winter to fire up the log burner for cosy nights in.

The barns are in a lovely setting with a view over gentle rolling hills, and plenty of outside space to enjoy. If only we'd had better weather we would have enjoyed breakfast al fresco, and evening BBQs (again, all the more reason to return one day). Fowey is only just over a mile or so away (bring a torch for a late walk back after dinner) and for keen walkers the barns are on the Saints Way route. We found the location a great base to explore not just this corner of Cornwall, but also for day trips to the North Coast, Mevagissey, Lanhydrock etc.

I don't normally bother reviewing hotels/restaurants etc but after staying in Badger's Hollow (one of the converted barns at Coriander Cottages) I felt compelled to...we could not have been more impressed - the first impressions were great. Not only is the cottage immaculate, and stunningly appointed (high end appliances, the biggest and most comfortable bed you could imagine, jacuzzi bath) but the little touches were fantastic - like having scones, jam and clotted cream waiting for you in the fridge; fresh eggs in a basket; fresh milk ready for your tea, with biscuits laid on as well.

The owner (Colin) could not have been more helpful or friendly too.

The views are stunning, and having breakfast on either one of the little terraces is a pleasure.

A real gem, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I love everything about this place, not least Flossie the pony.

Chose to stay in Mill Cottage again (because it's a cute, comfy, traditional country cottage).

The barns are also lovely, luxurious and more contemporary - great for couples.
