We have stayed at a couple of different places in the town over the years but thought it was time we traded up from a B&B and were glad we had done. The hotel is on a quiet back road, with its own parking forecourt. We found our room a bit cramped but that's the size you get in a Victorian villa. It had two chairs and light that was more than good enough to read by. At night the curtains kept out the light well. The beds were comfortable and the duvets not too hot. Breakfast included fresh fruit and fruit salad, as well as the usual selection of cereals and fruit juices. The porridge was very tasty but rather filling! Very pleasant owner and comprehensive guest information on the local area, with plenty of suggestions of things to do and places to go.
