We had the pleasure of staying at the Seafield Lodge, and we were given the 'trout' suite which was lovely. The bar was cosy with an open fire and the food was outstanding. However, please be aware that this hotel has recently been taken over. Our only gripe which, in effect marred a lovely stay for us was that there was insufficient heating and hot water. Basics such as these are very much missed if not in evidence. [especially in February]. The heating was on very sparadically and the hot water was hit and miss. After a day up the mountains a bit of heat and a hot shower would have been most welcome - and because we couldn't have these requirements it really did make you really fed up. The owners did tend to give you the run around about not being totally 'up to speed' on the workings of all the heating/water switches - but we really felt this was done more for penny pinching.
A lovely small hotel, the two polish staff they have are lovely, the owners are friendly, the decor and fittings are to an average - if not high standard - but just hope they get the heating and water sorted out. On this aspect it would put me off visiting again for a long time.
