“Inflexible & limited menu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

After 2 excellent meals we were keen to try the Sunday lunch. Our table was tucked away in a cold corner & despite numerous empty table our request to move was refused as the others were reserved - we were offered a heater.
The deep fat fryer was out of action so no chips or battered fish - the latter proving a problem as one of our party is a non-meat eater.
At the end of our meal the reserved tables were still empty - the diners did not turn up.

DISAPPOINTING and we'll look elsewhere as a result!

“Yorkshire Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We found this pub by chance when looking on Tastecard for a place to eat whilst we where on a trip to Bradford. A very quaint old pub nicely done out with friendly staff and a great menu. The food was excellent, very tasty and the portions where so large we took home half of the delicious confit lamb my husband has ordered. Will definitely go back and highly recommend it.

“Nice looking pub good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

This is a nice olde worlde pub in a good village on the edge of Bradford luckily far enough out that one does not have to compete with the usual Bradford driver who frankly should not be trusted with a goat and stick. The pub has a good choice of beer and great food at very reasonable prices,in a lovely setting.Staf are freindly and helpful.

We had Family gathering of 10 and we were well accomadated. Food was scrumptues mmm. Although Menu limited, but unusual,I felt we paid a little bit extra on some of the dishes.

Nice bar area were you mix with the locals and the waitress kindly brings you to the table when they are ready for you.

“Lovely pub, food very nice, but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Great food, by pub standards, but not restaurant quality. Lovely ambient atmosphere and surroundings, but definitely in the pub category and not restaurant. I would highly recommend for a great meal after a long walk, or a sunday afternoon roast or something.
