Just returned from a walk around Ogden Water and an unplanned visit to Boggart Brig Tea Room and what a lovely surprise it was. Between the 3 of us we had poached eggs on toast, a cheese omelette (with a little salad) and a piece of the most delicious homemade spinach tart with bean and fresh beetroot salad, along with 3 pots of tea we spent just under £15. (it may be cash only) but how much we would have loved a piece of homemade chocolate cake or a pretty cupcake but as we had not planned on this food stop, we didn't over indulge - we'll just have to save the cakes until next time! As previous reviewers have said this is a family run and seasonal tea room and as the sign said 'muddy boots and well behaved dogs welcome', why wouldn't you want to give this picturesque little place your business? It's not difficult to find down the little footpath, as it is well signposted - so in our opinion a great place to start or finish your walk. PS: there are toilet facilities now, suspecting it to be the owners own on the ground floor - however it was clean and adequate.
