“Hotel very pleasant. Dining room very nice but wine pricey. Food very good.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

Loch Leven's Larder at Milnathort - well worth a visit if you're in that area. Lovely food, great gift shop and fresh produce to buy.

Plenty to see in area but best left till Easter if a visit to Loch Leven Castle in on your agenda as ferries don't go to Island on the loch in winter months.
Waterfall at Rumbling Bridge worth a visit.
Kinnesworth is lovely little village - nice old houses up The Cobbles.
History of Michael Bruce a poet who died at 21 years of age but very fondly remembered.
Local people very helpful when asking for advice or directions.

“Nice course, great wee clubhouse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012

You always get a decent day's golf up at Kinross on both courses (I know them as Red and Blue, but they have names now). The clubhouse is nice too and you get a cracking meal after a good round in the area overlooking Loch Leven.

“golf”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2011

Lovely course to play with plenty of water feature holes. Felt the greens could have been better at this time of year and were surprise they had been spiked. Professional was helpful and the buggies come with an electronic hole by hole course map and distances to pin from different points on the hole. Not that impressed with the clubhoused fayre - meals stop at 3pm during the week.

“a good walk not spoiled”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2010

Snowed in at Gleneagles I ventured 16 miles away, where after the Glendavon range the snow had gone having been still a foot thick at Gleneagles. I arrived 40 minutes early no problem the groundsman let me away and I had the course to myself. There were winter greens on but in fairness given the weather they had, had no problem and at least they were cut and identifiable. This is a flat course through trees with a great wildlife I saw pheasant, partridge, capercaillie and even a fawn. There are some high quality golf holes, and like all golfers winter greens or not I couldn't resist a go at the 4th a nice par three or the fifth a short par four with a divil of a burn in front. The 11th is a classic risk and reward par 5 with a pond in front of both the winter and summer green and look back after your tee shot at 12 to see a great view of Loch Leven and the hills beyond, it also features a nest of viper like bunkers not much different to the Principals Nose on the Old Course. All in all loved every minute and for £15 a bargain and to boot the pro is the aptly named Gary Mc Sporran!
