I have stayed twice at The Queen's and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The food was excellent, huge breakfasts and delicious dinners. The fact that the restaurant was often crowded with Norwegian yachtsmen and other foreign visitors proved the quality of fare and service. Luckily, as we were residents, we got priority treatment! When booking I asked for a room overlooking Bressay Sound and that's exactly what we got: the water lapped right up to our window from where we could watch the seals and one of the Greenpeace ships playing "tig" with the Naval ships... very entertaining. The rooms are adequate, a bit old fashioned, but warm and clean and of course en-suite. I can thoroughly recommend this lovely historical hotel for a memorable holiday.
