Definitely one of the must-see sights on the island, especially if you're interested in the Orkney's wartime history.

“Amazing History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

While on a guided tour of Orkney I had the chance to see many interesting areas around Scapa Flow including some amazing viewing points, over Scapa Flow towards the island of Hoy and Flotta. It is really quite amazing that this area of water was so important in supporting the allied victories in WWI and WWII.

I was taken by local tour firm Orkney Uncovered to a place called Scorradale which has outstanding views over the western approaches to Scapa Flow and saw a number of slides from 1919 showing the German High Seas Fleet interned. Next time I come up here I will be going out on Scapa Flow to see more of it. It certainly helps to go with someone who knows what they are talking about and show you areas that you may not normally see.

I would recommed taking a camera and there are many spectacular views over Scapa Flow.

“so much history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

I had heard of Scapa Flow and it had cropped up in story books but to see it and have the history told to you by a local was amazing, The building of the barriers was an ingenious idea but it did not stop the detemined and this affected the lives of many, all of whom are remembered with respect. A must see if you are on the islands.

“Excellent in every way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

The diving is fantastic and the knowledge of skipper Emily is second to none. Her dive breifings are incredibly detailed and only come with years of experience diving those wrecks. Her knowledge of diving and her manner in sharing that knowledge is fantastic. As a group we had an outstanding week!

The food on the boat is well worth the additional cost - especially the sticky toffee pudding.

I will be going again, and again, and again!

“Diving with the Radiant Queen in Scapa Flow.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

I just recently dropped by the Scapa Flow to do some diving with the dive boat "Radiant Queen".

It was a very good experience that I would like to do again and recomend.

They had a very nice and good boat rigged for diving, with even a diver elevator.
The lunch they served was splendid and fantastic service.

Air, gas and bits and pieces was fixed without any issues.

Lodging was in a nice house 50mtrs from the boat and can be highly recommended.
Fresh, nice, spacious and CLEAN!

Hope to be back soon.
