We stayed here for a night after attending a family wedding here.
The staff were helpful at all times from booking the room months in advance to checking out. We had an 18month old with us, and they allocated us a room close enough to the reception room for baby monitor to be in (easy) range, but also far enough away (30 foot steps) for her not to be disturbed by the noise.
A couple of days before I called to ask if it could be possible to check in early (as check in was at 2pm and so was wedding) and they said they would do their best, and sure enough they did our room first. We were very greatful for this.
When we checked into our room we noticed the mini fridge wasnt working, Someone from housekeeping arrived within 2 mins of my call to reception, and once they established it was broken took our baby milk and stored it for us, then bought it to us (warmed) within minutes of being asked.
Milk is also not provided with the tea and coffee tray (you call reception and a jug of fresh milk arrives within minutes (much nicer than those mini UHT milks)) and the selection of teas is extensive (fruit / herbal / earl grey etc as well as 'normal')
Our room was very spacious, and the cot we were provided was more of a proper wooden cot with real mattress than a travel cot, (just slightly smaller than normal cot size). I was impressed, as it seemed much more comfortable that a "normal" travel cot, and our daughter slept well too :)
Our bed was enourmous, and extremely comfortable.
The curtains were nice and dark (but not complete blackout)
We had a nice big flat screen TV with loads of channels, though only watched ceebeebies!
The whole place was spotless and shiney.... the towels and linen were white and fluffy.
I enjoyed the jacuzzi bath, and didnt need to use my travel bath mat dots for my baby as a proper bath mat was provided. We didnt use ours, but at breakfast many guests were complimenting their showers
We had nice country side views from our room.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, if ever there was reason to, and there is plenty of space in the bedroom for 2 (or perhaps more?) children to share with their parents.
The Buffet breakfast (served between 8am and 10am at weekends) was extremely good. (There were plenty of high chairs)
Everything you might expect and more!
(Worth bearing in mind if you are attending a function here and on a tight budget, there is a premier Inn just down the road too)
