“A wonderful lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

A rainy Saturday afternoon and the smell from the restaurant drew us in. We wasn't disappointed. 2 courses for £9.50 each of what was fresh cooked food in a lovely setting. We had a tapas dish each followed by kebabs and beef bollodas, which was basically a hot beef pitta (3 halves), it was huge, with fried potatoes, homemade coleslaw and salad.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our fleeting visit to knutsford was memorable by this wonderful lunch.

“The Mediterranean comes to Town.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

From the minute we walked in we were transported to the med, a harpist was playing the smell of garlic filled the air.

We were seated upstairs which overlooks a small courtyard.

Four of us shared the two house sharing plates which were large and full of gorgeous fresh produce the dolmides were gorgeous, the sun dried tomatos lovely.

We took the waiter reccommendation and had the 2001 chianti at under £25 which they carefully decanted it was unbelievably beautiful.

My sister and I had pasta mains, the boys had steak and lamb. The food was well presented and flavoursone.

The bill was the best surprise in London we would have paid twice the amount for a meal of such quality in such a beautiful setting.

“Our first choice for a meal in Knutsford”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We live a few miles away and are glad we found Etruria which has become our main choice of restaurant when we visit Knutsford. We always receive a warm welcome, the staff are pleasant, courteous and very efficient and during the meal keep an occasional eye on diners to make sure they are OK. The premises are thoughtfully designed giving a Mediterranean feel and there is a warmth and cosiness in the decor. There is a good menu, thoughfully designed and reasonably priced. Service throughout was excellent from professional but friendly staff who clearly appear to enjoy their work. The restaurant have introduced special evenings with live performances which are worth considering. Super first class restaurant which we can unreservedly recommend.

“A treat to visit..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

I booked the table for 8 people, slightly dubious, as we had not visted Etruria before. I need not have worried, we had a great night. The place was like a ''Tardis'' -you think it is going to be a small quiet restaurant, just a doorway off the main street...
Think again, it really is quite big inside, enough bustle and noise to give atmosphere, and the slighly querky decor all adds to the ambience. There is also a small very pleasant garden area, great for a pre dinner summer cocktail.
The food was delicious, my husband ordered the Paella Valencia for his main course. It was good to note that you could order paella for one person, most restaurants only produce paella for two people(-Not good if one of you doesn't like rice, or in my case is a veggie)
There was loads of veggie food too.
We were well looked after by Antonio and Monica.
There was also a singer on, non intrusive but all added to the atmosphere.

So that was last Saturday, just husband and I are there again tonight... Must be good!
