This tiny building was once a dress agency years ago and frankly I was amazed when I went in for the first time. Its now beautifully appointed and the bathroom would not look out of place in one of the houses on nearby millionaires row. There are a surprising number of seats inside, they are comfortable and the tables don't wobble. This means a very full latte won't spill by accident.
There are plenty of places in Knutsford to get a coffee but this must be ranked one of the best. My wife drinks decaf and usually the request is greeted with a groan, but here it wasn't. It arrived and it was delicious, as was the full strength cup I ordered. This place has personality unlike the nearby Costa. We ordered cake which was probably bought in, as the kitchen is a tiny galley. Even so the treacle tart was deep filled and it was delivered warmed on request. My brownie was very sweet and gooey. Some would prefer it firmer, but it was like heaven on a plate on cold day with the excellent coffee to wash it down.
The staff were friendly and willing to please, though the waitress did most of the work and the chap simply stood about. As result she forgot the water we ordered because she was preparing coffee for other customers all of the time as well as waiting tables. She did remember to warm the tart though and when she did remember the water it arrived in a nice class with ice and a slice.
If the coffee is the thing then this place makes one with heart, its also very stylish and you won't be embarrassed to be seen here. There is a terrace at the back so if it looks full on a warm day take a chance on getting a seat. With places like this, there is no need for a multi national chain in Knutsford and its nice to see an independent doing well.
