“We felt most welcome and at home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

The staff at this hotel had a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome and at home. Whether it be a parent with a young child (myself) or the local or corporate business people. The atmosphere is comfort and relaxed, as well as being as respectful and relaxed. All my requests were met - regarding room service, meals or personal extras. I was able to relax, feel comfortable having a young child in the same dining area as the local and international business guests.

I stayed at the hotel for a week on business. Overall I was left with a very good impression. The room I stayed in was recently refurbished and comfortable. The room was cleaned to a high standard daily.

The staff was helpful and had a good knowledge of Knutsford and surrounding areas, I particularly liked the hands on approach of the owners.

An ample breakfast is included in the price of the room, I also ate at the hotel's restaurant "The Stuffed Olive" which had a seasonal menu with fresh ingredients.

WiFi is provided free which is very useful for the business traveller.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I stayed here on business for about a week. The personal service by the staff and owners was excellent. The rooms are modern and recently refurbished. Good quality Wifi available. Didn't really eat there. Close to Knutsford central as well as the train station.

We stayed here with our 21-year-old daughter in order to break the journey up to Scotland. We arrived feeling quite tired and were shown to our rooms. Both of them were decorated in a Victorian and very personal style - a far cry from the sterile look that most hotel rooms have. Slightly peckish, we made our way down to the hotel's own little pub in the basement and were served tea and some lovely muffins. In the evening we wandered down into Knutsford - which is in walking distance. This is a very pretty, upmarket village with its own McClaren showroom! There is a whole host of lovely restaurants to choose from.

We all slept very well and woke the next morning feeling refreshed. The breakfast was lovely and service very friendly. There was free WiFi in the rooms (big hotels take note: if small places like this are not charging for Internet access then why are you?) All in all a very enjoyable stay and a good place to stop on your way up north.

Well located, just a few minutes walk from Knutsford town center, the Longview is a reasonably well appointed, small hotel.
It has a private car park and there is usually street parking right outside the door as it is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. For somewhere close to the town, there was no disturbance overnight other than a little road noise and the nearby Manchester airport.
My room was small but comfortable, although it did get a little warm in the hot weather; there is no air conditioning but a small table fan was provided.
Tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, good, free wireless internet and plenty of hot water.
A good memory for faces was useful as the bathroom mirror was positioned for those of less than average height. The radiator, inches from the toilet, might be a hazard in winter time!
The restaurant is very clean and comfortable, albeit with a limited menu.
Its strong point for me was the staff who were all (including the owners) helpful, efficient and very friendly.
I would use it again.

I had to spend some time in Knutsford on business, recently, this hotel was just perfect, Lulu, Neil,Rob,Michelle and Chef looked after me so very well, the hotel is a very short walk into town, the patio, very peaceful to sit and relax, the dining room, very elegant and spacious, the chef's special were superb, and the bedroom bright and cheerful.
The atmosphere homely, and nothing was too much trouble. I felt safe and secure and would highly recomend this hotel.
