“Most Easterly Point”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Do not expect to find a well layed out garden or a tidy site, No all there is ,is a compass on the floor and a sign ,that lets you know you are at the most Easterly Point. Very disappointing ,a lot more could be made of this site

“Most easterly point!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Lowestoft's claim to fame. Our 7yr is fascinated by how far away other towns & cities are & ness point tells him exactly that.

As a resident of Lowestoft I find ness point a rather dreary and disappointing tourist attraction for years it has been a bone of contention as to what should be there seeing it is the most easterly point in England If you go you can say you have been end of subject

“Most Easterly point of UK mainland!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

Though unique there is not much here apart from the sea wall and an enormous metal compass point set into the concrete. This gives many points around the UK and abroad, which is quite interesting if you are in the area. I take my visitors there if weather reasonable. Head for 'Gulliver' the wind turbine in town and you cannot miss Ness Point, which is signposted. Include it in your visit to South Lowestoft. The South Beach, from Kirkley Cliff Rd is sandy and pleasant surroundings. Main town (north of the Bascule Bridge) is a bit of a dive.

“Worst attraction in the UK”

The whole area is a tip, shame on you WDC. The only high spot is the compass, until the pikeys steal it.
