“Nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Nice location, not far from some lovely little seaside towns also amongst the country side. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good food. Great Yarmouth about 8 miles away but enjoyed exploring some of the less busier places.

The Premier inn Lowestoft
On first appearance the actual accomodation looked fairly new . One was met at the reception with a nice welcome . The room was clean and tidy and smelt fresh. The bed was very comfortable with clean sheets. Everything worked perfectly in the bathroom, shower, toilet were clean.
It was quiet being set back from an A road.
we stayed at the Premier inn 4 nights and it was a good stay.

Restaurant - From the outside it needs some repainting
The restaurant had a limited menu. We had two meals at the restaurant -
One meal was steak and was perfect and very good eating.
The second meal was steak again -I asked for well done it came bloody, i asked for normal chips, and they were spicy - they replaced the chips and re cooked the steak but were unable to give me Dianne sauce which I had put on the steak. So if you are lucky and get the first chef you will get a very good meal. If you get thecond chef -i would advise you to eat elsewhere.

Room Tip: All are good

A really lovely time we had. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and great value for money. The breakfast in the morning was really tasty and had a huge choice of food either hot or cold. We recommend that anyone who is planning a trip near Lowestoft to use that premier inn. Fantastic weekend.

We have recently stayed here for 2 nights- as always we love staying here due to perfect location for us and excellent food at the foxburrow! I wouldn't go anywherelse! Although we found there to be a loud buzzing outside our room which was really noisy through the day and night we did tell reception who refunded one of our nights stay however this wouldn't effect my thoughts on returning! Thanks Premier Inn Lowestoft :)

This was my first stay at a Premier Inn. The room was very clean and comfortable, good staff and in a good location. But the biggest let down was the pub next door! The Fox Borough. A Beefeater Restaurant. Well overdue for a refurb, grubby carpets, and the paintwork desperately in need of a refresh, both in and out. Very poor service by young inexperienced staff. 90 min wait for a table, 45 min wait for full English breakfast, 35 mins wait for a prawn cocktail, delivery of wrong order, incorrect billing, overcharged! Just a few of the catalogue of errors during my 5 night stay. It seems to me that this place needs to get a get a grip, you cannot hide behind the fact that it is bank holiday, That was last Monday and every day since you have disappointed me with the level of service. Employ more staff or give them more hours during busy times. This is not good enough . The management need to seriously take action here! No problem with the quality of food, but very disappointed with the legal of service. Regarding the loyalty card? Well I shall place it where it belongs!

Great staff, even came to my bedside as I came down with a tummy upset and offered me some paracetamol,

Rooms comfortable, modern, no problems, sleep really well.

Only one thing we noticed was small amount of parking due to attached beefeaters customers also using car park but people coming and going all the time.

Breakfast great, would stay again.

We stayed at the Premier Inn as we were taking our boy to Africa Alive and this was the closest budget hotel with a competitive price. The hotel was nice and clean and easily accessible.
We have had a bit of an issue with an alarm left on next door, but the matter was dealt with by the reception very promptly.

We also did a meal deal with the Premier Inn / pub next door. The food and the service was very good, but be aware of the extras. As we have had a 2 year old with us (which gets tricky at the meal times) we didn't pay much attention to what was included in the price. We were happy to pay some extra for upgrade of the meals, but as it turned out when we got the bill we were charged full price fir the desserts, which we didn't realise wasn't in the meal deal (and the waitress didn't mention it either when we were ordering). For the kids meal and the extras we paid over £20, which isn't too much, but you probably wouldn't expect this much when you have supposable already paid for the meal...
The breakfast was also included and it was great. No surprises there.
We would go back to the same hotel.
