“everything we needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

we booked two nights but due to family trouble had to leave after one night. the room was larger than expected. everything we needed was there and it was clean.it was nice to have the choice of bath or shower and towels were changed after our first night.the bed was big and very comfortable.staff at reception very helpful, and we spoke to the room cleaners when we saw them in the corridor and they were very pleasant. we didn`t have breakfast as we wanted a lie in so can only comment on the room.wished we could have stayed longer as felt so comfortable.would stay here again

Room Tip: we stayed in room 101 which was next to staircase which meant people walking past but noise hardly n...

Everything needed for a good night's sleep - comfy beds, temperature control, good blackout curtains, nice and quiet. Lovely and clean, modern and well maintained, everything worked. Highly recommended as a relaxing, clean, simple option. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

We had visited before and requested the same room a disabled one with wet room, which they done for us. Room was immaculate, bed and pillows very comfortable. Both times we have stayed there the fire alarm has gone off tho this time it was earlier in the evening both times we was told it was someone spraying hairspray/deodorant etc in the bedroom under the smoke alarm instead of in the bathroom. Only problem we had this time was that the shaver socket in the bathroom didn't work & so i reported it to reception & was told that it would be fixed by the time we came back that evening unfortunately it wasn't fixed & no extension lead in the hotel to use. So a romantic Valentine's Day meal i had planed with my partner turned out i had to go unshaven.

Only other thing to point out is that you get no mobile phone signal in the rooms & have to go outside to make or receive a call, If you are planning to use your phone regularly on your stay it may cause an issue. & there is no phone in the rooms not even to call the reception desk.

Many thanks for taking the time to review and for your comments. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay with us but sorry you experienced a problem with the plug socket in your room. Please contact us directly at the Hotel and we'll be happy to discuss your comments and resolve the situation.

We are aware that some mobile networks do not work in the Hotel area and are only available in the Restaurant so we're in the process of having telephones fitted in the rooms. Please accept our apologies and I do hope that these incidents won't deter you from visiting us and
I hope we can welcome you back again soon.

Beware - the noise in room 40 from airducting is horrendous - no sleep also there is no service for mobile phones and no phones in the rooms - very poor -this could create a potentially dangerous situation.

Many thanks for taking the time to review and for your comments.

We're sorry you couldn't get a signal from your mobile phone in the Hotel. This is a situation we are aware of from some Mobile Phone Providers and is currently being addressed by landline telephones being installed in each of the rooms, but thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We also apologise that you could not sleep due to noise from the airconditioning in your room, please contact us direct at the Hotel and we'll be happy to discuss your comments and rectify this situation.

I do hope these isolated incidents won't deter you from staying with us again and hope that we can welcome you back soon.

Our stay was for two nights, 14th to 16th February 2013. The hotel was very clean and the staff very polite and helpful. Our particular thanks to Beth, a very helpful receptionist, who printed out directions to the promenade whilst we had breakfast. The Beefeater restaurant is ideal for breakfast and , unlike many other budget hotels, your main course is cooked and brought to your table - much better than the buffet hotplates. We would definitely stay here again.

Standard budget hotel with nothing to write home about; but, be warned, when you book your room book the beefeater for your first night at the same time...do not wait until you get there. I arrived on the 28th January at 6.30pm to find out that there were no tables until 8.30pm (too late for me to eat). After going to my room I immediately went across to the Beefeater hoping to get a seat at the bar... No chance! and there were no tables until 9.00pm.

I went back to the Premier Inn reception and Staff were pleasant and suggested the Harvester down the road, but they should have been given more information by their management about other places to eat in the area as there is clearly not enough room in the Harvester for the number of rooms in the Hotel.

Also, why are we still expected to pay for Wifi? Most independent hotels give it free. I've been told to stay at The Cliffs in Great Yarmouth next time I'm in the area.

Many thanks for taking the time to review and for your comments. We're pleased that you were happy with your stay and the service from the Reception Team but very sorry to hear that you were unable to get a a table in our Beefeater Restaurant and had to eat elsewhere.

Although our Restaurant is very popular to non-residents as well as residents, we do always like to ensure that our guests our able to dine with us and offer a option to pre-book online to avoid disappointment so please accept our apologies that you were'nt able to do this on this occasion.

Please telephone the Hotel direct prior to your next visit and we'll be happy to ensure you are pre booked for your meal and will also explain our WIFI connections which give a Free 30 minute period in the Hotel and is also entirely free within the Bar and Restaurant area for an unlimited period.

I do hope these isolated incidents won't deter you from staying with us again and I hope to welcome you back again soon.
