Very welcoming and lovely host Shelagh and Richard. Bedrooms very nice - we stayed on the top floor in the Abbe and Friar rooms for 2 nights. Kids enjoyed the long weekend - would have enjoyed it better if the weather was better! We ate out in the local restaurants - spending around £30-35 for a family of 5 for lovely meals . we had our meals in lowestoft at captain nemos and the thatch - both on the seafront. breakfast at the Abbe were very nice- kept us going for the mornings spent out in great yarmouth and lowestoft.
Lowestoft beach in my opinion was cleaner than great yarmouth - more golden sand. we also stopped off at gorleston and were lucky to see the charity convoy of trucks - over 100 trucks. Gorleston beach was lovely and clean too. if you want a good old fashioned east coast holiday you won't go wrong here.
