“Excellent but if you want a pub lunch do it this way round”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

As others have said this is a fantastic circular walk , where you can walk along the sea one way and cut acrioss the spit the other. However be careful where you start if you want a pub lunch halfway round. I would recommend starting at Lymington as the pub there is awful, stop at KeyHaven at the Gun which is not great but is certailnly much better. Also by doing it this way round , you can explore the spit and Hurst castle as an extension. If that is too far ( 6mile altogether) you can take a mile off by returning to KeyHaven from the Castle on the ferry boat. The other option for eating is to visit teh castle and try their lovely little cafe.
Enjoy it is a great walk with lovely views and fantastic bid life.

“Lovely area with great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

We stayed in the local area on holiday and took our bikes with us. We were out every day cycling along one part or another of Solent Way. The area is completely flat, with lovely views out across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight on one side and the salt marshes and all of the wildlife to the other. Interesting to learn about the history of the salt marshes from the local information boards and plenty of wildlife and birds throughout the nature reserve. If you're in the area this is well worth a visit for a walk/cycle. Plenty for kids to see too, we'll definitely be going back.

“A Wanderers Dream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

What a beautiful place to go,very quirky, in that lots of little side streets to wander.
Lots of little shops,so many tea shops you will be spoilt for choice. You can also sit on the quayside and watch the boats, also you can catch a day ferry to the Isle of wight.I loved the atmosphere of this buzzing little town and we went on a Saturday, which has the longest street market that I have ever seen. The local ice cream is to die for.
