“amazing mac n' cheese & potato skins”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

With 2 year old in tow, we tried a few American classics- mac n-cheese & potato skins. But these dishes were far from ordinary. The cheese was rich and sharp. Much better than bland American cheese. The potato skins were topped with chunks of mushrooms and bacon. delicious, although I do feel as if I have gained 3 lbs since hotel check in .

“Great pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Visited on a miserable day during the week, welcoming open fire and friendly owners. Small menu reflecting that it was home cooked. Delicious Fish and chips which was value for money. Why go to the recently opened Wetherspoons when you can support a friendly locaL The pub is at the very top of the High Street so it is worth walking a little further to reach it.

“Excellent home cooked food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Lovely family run cosy pub, with an open fire. Friendly welcome from the owners. Home cooked hearty food, very good value for money, excellent fresh fish. Overheard a local rave about the Sunday roast, so will be back to try . Nice garden for the summer months. Well worth a visit.
