“Short but sweet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

Only a one night stay but a lovely place to stay. Very nice room - so good to have real milk with a cup of tea! Bed very comfortable with good pillows! The shortbread was much appreciated after a soggy run in the New Forest. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Will make sure I stay for longer next time and have the cooked breakfast!

Wonderful hosts, we had such a lovely stay. The place was spotlessly clean, the service brilliant, and bonus there were chickens in the garden! Thank you for our wonderful weekend, I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

So good we have come back a second time and sure we will be back again! Lovely room, with big ensuite shower room, daily cake and little extras that make it extra special - Lorraine really goes the extra mile and breakfasts are delicious. Literally couldn't fault it!

Stayed at Inglemere bed and breakfast for my husbands birthday and our anniversary, cannot fault this gem. Our room was very comfortable with the small touches which put this B&B in a class of its own with toiletries, fluffy robes, and a surprised mini bar which was stocked with snacks and drinks, free milk, variety of teas.

Each afternoon we came back to homemade cakes including some short bread.

Lorraine and her husband made as feel welcome and were attentive to our needs. We could have quite happily stayed here for a whole week, we are planning to go back this time with our 14 & 7 year old boys.

We stayed here with our parents. They had a double room and we had the family room as we were travelling with our toddler. Loraine is a very accommodating hostess and made sure we all felt extremely comfortable. The rooms are spacious & clean and the bathrooms are nice and large. There is attention to detail on the small things such as plenty of toiletries, fluffy robes, mini bar stocked with snacks and drinks, free milk, variety of teas etc. My parents got some homemade shortbread in their room alas we didn't get any in the family room but they were apparently very good. There is free wifi, a comfortable lounge area and several pubs in short driving distance to dine at.

The breakfast in the morning is delightful with loads of variety and it's cooked to order. The only thing that wasn't great about Inglemere was the bed in the family room. The double bed is very old and worn so not very comfortable. It creaks loudly when you turn over whilst sleeping, needless to say I didn't get a good night's sleep however it's something that is easy to rectify.

Room Tip: The double room looks over the garden, the family room overlooks the road.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for letting us know about the problems you had with the bed. This bed was only 16 months old, but on inspection we found that one corner of the base was broken. We have since replaced it. Sorry there wasn't any of our homemade shortbread in your room. Usually we will only do this if we have been advised that there is a person in the room with allergies. If you stay with us again, please let us know and cakes can be provided.

The Inglemere really is as good as these reviews! We stayed in the family room with our ten week old baby and felt like every effort had been made to ensure our stay was as easy and comfortable as possible. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate and the bathroom spotless (its towels and bathrobes soft and fluffy) with a powerful shower. There was a kettle, fresh milk and assorted hot drinks in the room, together with homemade shortbread on arrival - plus a mini fridge full of snacks and soft drinks at a very reasonable price. There was also a selection of really useful baby bits such as nappy bags, bottle warmer and a baby monitor - we were even offered a cot but had brought our own. TV and free wifi was available as well as the offer to sit in the lounge and make use of the television there, or the huge variety of DVDs. Add to that the delicious breakfast (with extensive menu) complete with homemade conserves and you have the recipe for the perfect b&b experience!

Wonderful welcome from Loraine on arrival. Inglemere bed and breakfast ticks all the boxes, clean, fresh great furnishing of all rooms and immaculate throughout. Could not fault, nice little touches such as a small fridge in the room stocked with canned drinks and various snacks along with a litre of fresh milk. A small. Tin containing a short bread biscuit and a large supply of teas and coffee's

Breakfast was just what is needed to set you up for the day and this breakfast will get you through to mid afternoon.

If I had one complaint it would be that I only stayed for just the single night I could have quite happily stayed here and been looked after for a whole week. Do not overlook this gem when searching for accommodation in the New Milton / Christchurch area because it will be your loss.
