i have just returned from the inn on the prom and would like to say that i dont understand why this hotel gets some bad reports i only stayed there because a friend recomended it to me. and i would highley recomend this hotel to any one the service i got was first class ,the food was brilliant better infact than some 5 star hotels i have stayed in london. the room i got at first was a standard room which was a bit dated but was cleaned to a high standard, how they can make an old room look that good says alot. then i was asked if i would like to see a boutiqe room wow it was brilliant another dimention very very clean , i will be back next year and thanks again to all the manegment and staff for a great hotel.keep up the good work .

I booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend, 2 nights half board in the boutique rooms.

The first night the window did not close and the hotel were unable to fix it. Instead of moving rooms they were left to stay in the room and it was freezing cold , the weather was awful.

They were moved the next day. I had guareenteed the room on my bank card. Unfortunately they took payment not only for my sons room but also for somebody elses room, without my knowledge or my authority. Only one person at the hotel was helpful who said she would refund the money, 4 weeks down the line I still have had no refund and have to have a fraudulent use of my card reported and action taken against the hotel.

Be very wary if you know anyone staying in the hotel at the same time, because if they say pay their bill on your card they will and you will have the devil of a time getting your money back

My son and I had a 3 day break in August and stayed in the Rooftop Terrace.
The staff were great, the food was great and the location was ideal.
We wished we could have stayed longer and will be returning again soon.
You can get the bus into blackpool just around the corner and you have the pier over the road, it is an ideal location.
If the weathers not too good it doesn't matter there is plenty to do.
The indoor pool was a hit with my son too.
Can't wait to go again!!

We staid at the In on the Prom (Fernlea) in July, and would like to share our views and comments on this excellent hotel and the service that we received.

On arrival the entrance and reception hall was a most pleasant sight being both clean and welcoming, on entering our room things just seemed to get better yet again, a clean and beautifully presented room, we had provisionally booked one of the new boutique rooms and we defiantly got our monies worth, the décor was lovely beds comfortable but most off all it was cosy and homely “a credit to your housekeeper and staff”, who I presume was the lady who came to our room just after we settled down and unpacked to ask myself and my husband if the room was ok and if we needed anything to let her know right away “such a lovely touch which you don’t get at many other hotels”.

The food was excellent in the main restraint, but especially in the bistro restaurant,(thanks to the chefs "Lamb Henry was fantastic")however this was short lived due to the man in charge of the café he was quite abrupt, slammed the plates down on the table and seemed very rude also running around and shouting at his staff in front of myself and the other guests such to say that this is our only complaint if you will, this incident didn’t spoil our holiday and we would love to return to the hotel in the future and most certainly recommend it to others, but would suggest that you re hire you bistro manager from the same agency that you hire you other staff from.

Both the restraint staff and the reception staff where most helpful, the waiter who served us in the restaurant a young man with glasses was most polite.
