“Unfailingly very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2011

Again and as for many years we have just had an excellent long weekend at the Parkwater. Having just been re-furbished it really sparkled. The room was fine although not with a view and the en-suite immaculate. If shower preferred ask when booking. The pool is superb, warm and crystal clear. The food is outstanding, for me it matches The Ivy ! but with larger portions. A newly printed menu each day brought delights to each one of us without fail but also just a little concern for what the scales will reveal on our return. This is a family business and it shows in the friendly and efficient staff. Finally, there is good beer to be had at reasonable prices.

We stayed 2 nights 22/10/2010, we had come as a party to see the illuminations. We were amazed at the lovely menu and so many courses, absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient , a lovely place to stay
If we were up that way again would definitely stay must be lovely in the summer, I do not know why there have been bad reviews. Hilary -Leigh on Sea Essex

I found the reception service to be very poor, when anyone was there they were always too busy and asked you to come back later. The carpets in the room and bathroom were really dirty. The toilet also needed a good clean. The food and restaurant service were fine.

Arrived to no welcome, asked for room with no stairs but had 15 to climb. room had no shower, small bathroom , broken tap, stained pillows found this out because there was no pillowcases on them but they appeared the next day, I could've complained but most of the coach party had already complained. The food is good but service is slow, there seemed to be no manager around, we left to no thank you for coming or farewell, well never stay there again and would urge anyone thinking of doing so, DO NOT !!

My partner, little doggie Jasper and I stayed for a 1 week break half-board at the Parkwater Hotel, St Anne's. The room had a beautiful sea view and was recently decorated to a high standard. Fresh towels and the room serviced daily by the maid. The breakfasts were of an excellent standard and the 5 course dinner with a choice i could not fault. Fresh fish delivered daily. Nicola and Natalie at reception were fantastic, helpful and courteous. Sarah and Rob at mealtimes couldn't do enough for us. We normally stay at the Lindum hotel a few metres away but the Parkwater Hotel is far superior and friendly. The highlight is the price. A week half-board for 2 adults and Jasper my doggie costs less than £500.00.....BARGAIN but don't tell everybody! I read the bad reviews and cannot understand the reasoning, as i couldn't find fault with the hotel at all.
