The eagle inn is the best place we have eaten at in years, the food is excellent and very good value for money. the staff always welcome you with a friendly smile and will bend over backwards to accomadate your needs. Cannot find a single fault with the service. me and family have enjoyed countless amount of meals here and would recomend the eagle inn to anyone.

“Excellent hospitality, truly a warm welcome & excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We were having a weekend stay in Ross on wye to see relatives and on the first night found this excellent pub to go and warm ourselves on a lovely meal. We were made immediately welcome by really excellent bar staff, so friendly informative and helpful and we felt very much at home. One thing that really impressed us was the excellent choice of food for vegetarians and also some good gluten free food which is rare to find. The food was hot plentiful and cooked just right. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. We fell in love with the two gorgeous Labrador dogs Charlie and Truffles who just added to the friendly ambience in this great pub. We also attended a jazz night in the brilliant function room to the rear of the pub followed by another great meal on a separate occasion. I can recommend the lasagne! Wonderful people and all in all this was a great find that enhanced our trip no end. Definately would go back just to experience the very friendly hospitable owners and there staff but the excellent food was a bonus and we thoroughly enjoyed both evenings spent at the Eagle.

“This place is fantastic in every way.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

My friend and I went to the eagle inn for lunch/dinner. I had a lamb shank fit for a king and my friend had a steak baguette. The meals were huge. Very yummy and perfect in every way. I couldn't eat it all but I was offered a takeaway pack. They have 2 of the most cutest loveable teddy bear dogs. The place was decorated in Halloween theme and looked amazing. The owners of the pub are so friendly and make the experience of the perfect British inn complete. If your in Ross this place is a must. It is great for oldies young ones and all in between. Weather you want a drink or a meal, you will enjoy. Thanks Maria and Andy xx ness

“Spiral staircase”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

This would appear to be relatively new people trying very hard to please. Good food. We were part of a large group, full scale catering needs a few tweaks with experiece but we certainly had nothing to complain about and excellent value. Good time had by all. Strange spiral staircase to upstairs banqueting room. Recommend.

“Central, atmospheric and welcoming. Good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We had a pre-conference meal for 30 in the upstairs restaurant. Service was quirky but friendly, the food was very good and the room proved ideal for our large group seated on two parallel rows of tables. A thoroughly enjoyable visit and chefs provided us with LARGE portions of tasty and well cooked food.
Recommended.
