Very pleasant surroundings, a little dissapointed with the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom was very small. Service at the pub was very good, had a lovely friendly night.
We felt that the meals were a little overpriced, compared with what was offered in other parts of town., however the breakfast was excellent. The next night we stayed at a Mercure Hotel, for almost the same price, so next time we will probably go straight to Mercure, sorry.

Superb views right next to the river and a large beer garden. A great location to sit and enjoy a drink and food. The food was inexpensive and the quality represented the price. Not a great choice of beers and wines. The inside of the pub was very dated and very tired looking.
Would go back to have a drink by the river and would eat here again if looking for something quick and cheap.

We had a family get together arranged here and booked a table for 9 so only ate here, and did not stay overnight. The food was very basic but freshly cooked and exceptional value. Overlooking the river, with a park next door for the kids to play, it is a lovely location and we had a great day. Could probably do with a spruce and some renovation but we would go back again as it was such good value - in fact, cheap and cheerful would probably describe it best!

Lady who showed us to our room was pleasant. Room not in Pub but up the path at a run down lodging house. Room cold, NO HEATING AT ALL IN DECEMBER! Bed had 2 thin sheets, light weight duvet WITH NO COVER on it, mis-matched pillow cases and a thin throw on top. luckily we had fleece blankets in the car. Decoration, woodchip, Artex and cheap furniture, drawer lined with newspaper. Windows filthy with condensation. On suite was approx 8ft x 2ft 6in with shower, hand basin and loo, could touch walls either side with elbows. Surprisingly towels were clean, white and soft.No hairdryer. Breakfast down road in pub. Managers pleasant. We appeared to be the only guests as only 2 places set for breakfast, breakfast OK. This Inn is in a beautiful location, but is clearly going through hard times and needs a lot of money and TLC spent on it to revive it.

Room Tip: Until it is loved and refreshed, book somewhere else, unless of course you just want a roof over your...

Nice pub on the river. Rooms were basic and old but quaint, tiny bathroom though. Lovely view of the river from the room. We spent the evening in the pub and exploring, not much time in the room. Godd breakfast, friendly staff. Will defo be going back with my canoe in the summer!

Room Tip: River views
