“A lovely place to stay, with fantastic hosts.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Stayed for 2 nights in the family room for 5, which was very comfortable, larger than we were expecting, and a huge window looking out towards the river. A lovely guesthouse, with character. The owners make you feel exceptionally welcome, and breakfast is wonderful. Just a 1 minute walk to the River Wye in one direction, or to Ross on Wye in the other direction, set in a beautiful part of the UK. The only slight downsides were that there is no car park, so parking is on a quiet street outside, and WiFi could not quite reach our room - but this is going to be fixed soon. Wanted to go back again in August, but they were fully booked. Would definitely recommend Radcliffe guesthouse.

Room Tip: The family room for 5 has a view over the River Wye, and was very quiet.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Radcliffe and were delighted with the accommodation, breakfast and the friendly welcome of our hosts. The Radcliffe is nicely situated for the town and dining at local pubs with pleasant walks along the river bank. We would certainly seek to stay there again should we be holidaying that way in the future.

Our family booked all but one of the lovely rooms in Radcliffe Guest house after finding it in January when we were searching for somewhere to stay for the May bank holiday weekend. We were attending a family wedding in nearby Much Dewchurch and the Radcliffe was perfect. We all arrived on the Friday and we were immediately made so welcome by Andy and Beth that we soon felt at home.
We had very comfortable bedrooms and all the facilities we could want - it’s so nice to have the view over the river from most of the bedrooms. The breakfasts were lovely and very filling and certainly set us up for our busy days.
On the Saturday (the day of the wedding) Andy and Beth even allowed us to have a champagne reception in the guests lounge before we left for the church - we took some nice photos of that little treat !

They are such friendly hosts and I can't recommend this guest house enough. It's right in the middle of Ross with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops within a few minutes walk. And even though the weather was pretty lousy when we were there it couldn't detract from appreciating the prime location it has overlooking the river. The perfect place to stay!!

Room Tip: Upstairs double rooms have a fantastic view over the river !

Staying with Andy and Beth was more like staying with old friends than staying in a guest house.

The fried breakfast probably saved my life each morning after an ale or two too many; the view from the room over the river Wye was beautiful, despite the flooding and the house was walking distance from everything in town.

Can't recommend it highly enough. See you next time I'm in town guys!

Room Tip: Rooms with a view are certainly worht the extra!

A very warm and welcoming place to stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed Andrew and Beth, the owners, did everything to make our stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible.
On arrival we were warmly greeted and given tea, coffee and a delicious slice of cake.
Our room was spacious, very tastefully decorated and furnished and had a stunning view across the River Wye.
If you are staying in Ross-on-Wye you could not do better than stay at Radcliffe House.
