“Linden Guest House Ross-on-Wye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

A B&B in a quiet location just off the town centre and over looking St. Mary's Church and grounds.Private off-road parking was made available to us.
Room clean and comfortable and the en-suite was spotless. Flat screen TV in the room worked off an indoor aerial, which was fiddly to adjust to obtain a good picture on all channels. No milk available in room for late night or early morning drink.
Breakfast very good and cooked to order by Patrick whilst he gave us some of the history of Ross-on-Wye.
If we are ever in this neck of the woods again would certainly ring Patrick and book a room.

My elderly sister visited Linden House recently and was delighted by the friendly welcome. We were having a family get together and others were staying elsewhere. How they wished they too were at Linden House. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and the proximity to the town makes it a wonderful base.

This B&B is not to be missed if you are in Herefordshire. I came down for an interview and Patrick could not have put me more at ease. He organised for me to have an early breakfast, chatted to me and then drove me to my interview (as it was pouring with rain.) Such service is hard to come by these days and Patrick should really be praised for the way he takes an interest in his guests. Rooms were delightful-homely, comfortable, new flat screen television and a very clean ensuite shower-room attached. The view of the church opposite was also lovely and the b&b is set in a quiet location right next to the centre. I could not recommend this guest house more. Patrick made me feel so welcome that I actually called him to let him know about my interview!!!! I will definitely be returning to Linden Guest House. Absolutely excellent value for money.

My stay at this establishment this year was the second time I have gone there (the first was in 2008). Linden GH is near St Mary's Church in a quiet street which is conveniently very close to the town centre. My room was comfortable and since my last visit, new TVs had been installed - I had a bit of trouble last time with the TV which the owner had to fix. The ensuite facilities were scrupulously clean. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room is very pleasant. After breakfast, part of the cooking area is converted for use of guests if they wish to prepare a snack for themselves, though I did not use this facility. The owner is welcoming and takes an interest in his guests. I came by public transport so do not know anything about parking for cars. I was very satisfied with Linden House and will be happy to stay there again when I decide to visit Ross again.

Room Tip: I occupied the same room had in 2008 so cannot really say much about rooms in general. Mine was at...

An excellent location just 2 minutes walk from the High Street, good room, very clean and tidy, great breakfast, and a friendly and helpful host - everything one could need. Thanks very much Patrick!

I stayed in November for 2 nights with friends.Patrick was a very friendly host with a lot of local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for him.The B+B was very clean and the rooms very comfortable and warm.Breakfast was also very good - cereals , fruit and yoghourt together with a freshly cooked full english breakfast .Tea,freshly brewed coffee, toast and preserves were in plentiful supply.Overall this is an excellent B+B and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Just off the main street opposite the church, the secluded location discloses a really good B&B. Characterful building - comfortable rooms - excellent breakfast - obliging and friendly hosts, not without a touch of humour, who know the area well - it really has everything you need. One to come back to.

Room Tip: Thosedisturbed by church bells might prefer a room at the rear.
