“Lovely people, great food and cider!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2011

Very hospitable and freiendly welcome including a jug of cider brewed on the premises and delicious cider cake. No dinner available the night we stayed but the nearby Red Lion is well worth a visit. The breakfast was memorable. Altogether a great place to stay.

The Broome is a working cider farm, they actually supply a lot of their apple’s to well known cider producers.

The standard of the rooms is very good considering this is a converted farm house, nice soft towels good quality toiletries and an excellent breakfast.

The proprietors are very friendly, the owner John even helped us in with our luggage and offered us either tea, coffee or a jug of cider.

If you get the chance, have an evening meal they do a limited menu but what they offer is excellent quality and well presented.

All in all a very good B & B.

My wife and I stayed at the Broome Farmhouse in May 2011 for a couple of nights. An interesting house with a cider production farm and cellar adjacent and on site. We had a warm welcome from John and Hilary...the room was very clean and the bed the most comfortable I've ever slept in. We were treated to a superb breakfast on both days and both John and Hilary were very helpful in sourcing local places of interest for us.As Hilary wasn't cooking, ( we stayed on Monday and Tuesday ), we ate at the Red Lion pub nearby, where the food was excellent. They have been running this bed and breakfast now for many years and their experience shows. Don't miss this B and B..we couldn't better it!!

Located just outside Ross the location is perfect for visiting the immediate area, further afield to Wales or as a business overnighter. The welcome is warm and friendly and John and Hilary who own 'The Broome' are a pleasure to meet; nothing is too much trouble. The evening meals are superb but a word of advice, booking in advance is recommended as word of the fantastic offerings has spread far and wide!
If you are a cider lover then you are in for a rare treat as this is a working cider farm that makes a variety of the finest ciders and perry. There is a very nice walk around the orchard as well.

recently visited Ross on Wye for a wedding an decided to stay at Broome farm, arrived after a tiring drive to a warm welcome an a cool jug of the farms cider. the afternoon tea my gf had was splendid.(her words) i tried a slice of the cider cake an that was amazing. we ate in the restaurant on the friday evening expecting a mediocre meal but was trully suprised at the quality of cooking and even the service. wines on the list were very reasonably priced as was the food. if anything too cheap. our room had an olde worldy freel to it but had all the mod cons. a very enjoyable stay in such a beautiful part of the world. will be returning asap for a trip down the wye on the canoes an hopefully another stay at Broome farm

Wonderful food, rooms very pleasant. Service outstanding. Complimentary homemade cider excellent and the homemade cider cake should win awards, delicious. Cannot reccommend enough. Will definitely be returning.
