We booked a one-night stay in a self-catering unit, called The Potting Shed. We arrived quite late and found the room a little cold although they knew we were coming. The room was large with a spare bed up above us which could be reached by a set of ladders. Our shower was okay but could have done with an upgrade although the bath towels' were lovely. Our bed was large and comfy with clean linen. Breakfast was eaten in the owners sitting room where a large dining table had been placed. The meal was okay but for the price they charge I would have expected extras like yoghurt, fresh fruit etc and it would have been helpful if they'd have removed beforehand the 2 shotguns lying on the table next to where we were eating!
Overall we felt the cost of £70 for 1 night was well overpriced for what we got. A pity really it is set in a superb location with lovely views and it would only take a few personal touches to make the experience one to remember. Didn't feel we got value for money.
