“Good pub food and very reasonably priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Have visited Little Manor several times now, usually on a weekend, and always had a good experience. The latest visit was on a Saturday night with a friend, so the restaurant was fairly busy and we booked in advance. Food was excellent as always and reasonably priced - we shared a starter of mussels in a creamy/cider/bacon sauce, then had mains of sea bass and fish and chips, followed by a cheesecake dessert to share and tea/coffee. The bill came to £55 which also included wine/beers and seemed very reasonable. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, as always. Will definitely visit again soon.

We visited the Little Manor once more at the weekend and once again it was excellent, bar a couple of areas. We started with a selection of the bar snacks, of whitebait, blackpudding and sausage, all excellent and brilliant to share in a tapas like fashion.

Next, I have nothing but positive things to say about my main, I had a delicious fish dish: Seabass with crayfish sauce. Something I would definitely try again in the future, if on the menu. The majority of the meals the rest of the family had, again seemed to go down well, including the fish and chips and the fishcakes. Nothing but compliments for those dishes. However two of the party had the Crispy Chilli Beef Salad and they couldn't of had a more contrasting experience. Now I had this dish in the past and it was really good, and couldn't believe they were not liking it. But i did get to try it, and it wasn't great and tasted completely different to what I had in the past. The beef was not crispy and instead tasted overcooked, and was just no where near the quality of the rest of the dishes.

This was the only downside which was shame, while it wont stop us going back the Manor, it has stopped the two with the Chilli Beef from going again. Service, Atmosphere, choice of drink all excellent, and probably one of the best in the warrington area. Just think that the Crispy Chilli beef just needs another look at as it really wasn't great.

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

I visited with a large group of family- and the service was very good. The wine we had- a blush wine, was excellent. Our food went down very well- my boyfriend had an amazing looking burger, others had a fab looking sea bass and I had fishcakes with salad which were very fat and substainal- very tasty! For pud I had an amazing banana waffle- and my aunt had bread and butter pud which was apparently divine!
Recommend it- pricy but worth it!

“Perfect in Every Way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

What a fantastic transformation, i have known the Little Manor, formerly the Cottage Hotel for 40 years and seen so many changes. This refurbishment is very well thought out, retaining all of its character and probably the ghost of Rachael, whilst extending the size of the property, with numerous additional historical items and photographs.
Amazing food menu always changing and 8 Real Ales, mostly from the region to choose from !
All the staff are so polite, no corporate uniforms here, nice to see the staff expressing there own fashions. Plenty of safe car parking, with access to Elizabeth Park for the youngsters.
We loved every part of our visit and can't wait to return.

“Perfect Pub Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Duncurin and friends spent a wonderful evening at the Little Manor on Saturday night. It's a wonderful example of a more traditional pub blended with an excellent restaurant and our table in the 'garden room', just perfect. The food was excellent and good value, the staff were unfailingly polite and the bread and butter pudding - to die for! More than this the whole place has a convivial atmosphere and we all felt we could take as much time as we wished to eat, to drink and just soak up the atmosphere. I suspect it would be a perfect destination winter or summer.
Though I was driving, my friends said that the wines were excellent and again good value.
We booked here because or 'usual' restaurant was full, but we were all delighted that we had, and all are looking forward to a return visit. Well Done!
