“PLEASANT SURPRISE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Traditional Polish and English food, great value for money, max £4.99 per meal. Meals absolutely delicious and cooked from scratch. Friendly environment, if a little bit loud when the match is on! Would not hesitate to recommend.

“A hidden gem - a real pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

The Stile is hidden away; a backstreet pub tucked away about a mile from the city centre.

They keep a good cellar, the ale was excellent. I had a pint of Sunbeam which was a fantastic pint.

The food is pretty good. It's very much a no frills menu of Polish dishes courtesy of the Polish chef. The prices are low and the portions huge. Four of us dined for under £16 and were very well fed. I had a pork tenderloin in breadcrums which was delicious; freshly cooked and cooked with a skill that you would normally associate with a more upmarket establishment.

All in all a real gem of a pub with great beer and excellent food.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2012

Fantastic place for a drink and something to eat!-The Polish food is a must for anyone to try and the Beer served is a fantastic Pint.
Its in all the beer guides and won an award not so long ago for its real ale quailty.

All Live sport is shown and there is entertainment on every weekend with a comedy night in the mix to.

Well priced and very inviting !

“Our Friends from the North said it all - "Blimey! a REAL PUB!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2011

Couldn't agree more with the other review: this is a fabulous, "real" pub with great hospitality, for a start. It has a genuine character that's getting harder to find. And then there's the food: it's always been delicious and amazing value; but now that the Polish grub is on the menu, it's hard to think of anywhere better, really! Friends visit us with a trip here always on their "must" list - they can never believe the atmosphere and the fare on offer. Pair-fict!
