“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

The Ardington is the quintessential British seaside hotel. The staff are beyond friendly and it has all the basic services done very well.

Setting, location, internet, bar, food, meeting rooms and lounge were all great.

But the best thing about the hotel is that when things didn't work or there were problems, the owners bent over backwards to help out or fix the problem. Great service!

I have been a regular guest at your hotel for the last couple of months and I wanted to congratulate and thank you and your staff for making my stay so enjoyable.

I have to say I do not recall better service at any other Hotel which was both efficient, attentive and very friendly. I think your staff have fabulous attitudes and whoever is doing your recruitment and training is doing a tremendous job.

Thank you again it has been a distinct pleasure

I stayed here with my family for a weekend this April. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the outstanding feature was the warm, friendly and professional attitude of the staff. They were exceptional and made the whole experience so pleasant. The restaurant attached is fabulous and the lounge area downstairs is spacious and very comfy.we had friends back for the evening and we were made welcome to sit and chat on the comfortable sofas until late. You just felt the service here is as it really should be. Would definitely go back.

This is an excellent hotel, we could not fault it in anyway. The hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms, even the standard one we had, was clean and presentable. The staff were all excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We did not have the opportunity to have an evening meal in teh restaurant but it looked good and the menu was varied and interesting. We did have breakfast and that was very well done.

A good value and well located hotel that we will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: The Standard rooms are fine and clean and presentable but are not as modern as the superior rooms, b...

In all, the Ardington was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again. In a city lacking a major chain hotel, this is likely the best choice. The room was clean and simple, free Wifi though it was a bit weak in my room. I could hear someone snoring through the wall or floor from 2-4am one night. The dog-sized seagulls in this town are also loud in the mornings, but I don't think the hotel can solve that.

Breakfast was included in my rate; on days when the hotel wasn't quite so full, the breakfasts were made to order rather than buffet style and prepared well and very quickly. Hotel has a large, comfortable bar area perfect for just hanging out. A fitness suite would make this hotel ideal.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer stay for an impromptu Easter break. The hotel and rooms were clean, fresh, modern and stylish and the staff, cheerful, helpful and delightful. Set in a beautiful regency square overlooking a green, with a minutes walk to the beach, the car and the a few mins to the town. There is a great little vintage tea room on the marine parade, which I'd recommend for tea and cake too!

Stayed here over Easter. Very good for the price; clean and comfortable; excellent location; staff consistenly friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Worth requesting a room overlooking the gardens at the front (although there is a little road noise...
