“my new fave!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

It's my first review ever but just have to share our wonderful experience at Efes today! This is 100% genuine review. Really want other readers to take note and give this place a go! Everything from the excellent service to the lush food made this my new number one restaurant in Worthing! A couple of my friends had visited before and had recommended it so thought we would give it a go on this dreary Sunday and so glad we did! There were eight of us (four adults and four rowdy children). The manager was so accommodating and attentive without being intrusive. We got a free bottle of red wine which was a lovely suprise and a gorgeous basket of bread with yummy dips. We ordered the halloumi and calamari (yum), the Efes special (very yum) and two servings of the mixed kebab (super yum). This was accompanied by loads of tasty salads and the best chilli sauce ever. There was plenty of food for all eight of us and we struggled to finish. We were offered complimentary Turkish teas and coffees to finish (we were too stuffed for pud), the children especially loved the apple tea! We couldn't believe that our bill came to only £64- an absolute bargain!!! I would highly recommend this fantastic family friendly restaurant and we will definitely be returning very soon!

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I dined here with a friend for the second time last night and loved it just as much as the first time. If you visit here you won't be disappointed, the staff are warm, friendly and very welcoming and the food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and I would highly recommend anyone to go here. I'm really looking forward to experiencing the outside dining in the courtyard when it opens in the summer. Thank you for another great evening out :0)

“A fabulous find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

It's so nice to be surprised by a fantastic restaurant when disappointments tend to be the rule. This was our first visit but we will definitely be back again and again. On arrival the staff were immediately attentive, warm and friendly; going out of their way to give us a pleasant experience. We were given warm bread and dips with olives on the house, with our drinks (I cannot abide being asked to pay for bread which many restaurants now do), and then helped to choose our meals. The food was excellent; the lamb being the best I've ever tasted. Finally we received the bill and were surprised at how little it was compared to so called gastro pubs or high street restaurants which ask you for £70 and serve nothing original. We loved it!

“A little slice of the East Med in Worthing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Very pleasantly surprised by our visit to this unassuming little establishment on the north side of town, unpromisingly surrounded by takeaways and down-at-heel shopfronts. In fact, the Efes kitchen seems to double up serving the chippy based next door, but you'd never know it as you sit in the comfortable dining room sipping your Turkish beer or wine.

After our tasty and attractively presented mixed meze starter, the wait for our kebabs was a little longer than we would have liked, but it was worth it. The beyti and halep kebabs were both mouth-wateringly delicious. Tragically we didn't have time for desserts or the complimentary mint tea, but we'll probably be back for another meal when we're next in Worthing.

The restaurant was nearly full by 7pm on a Saturday, so they are clearly doing something right here.

“Fab meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Went to the Efes Restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday. What an amazing meal, superbly cooked food. The Albanian liver starter was amazing, and the mixed kebab main, out of this world. Plus we had a bottle of wine on the house and because it was my daughter's birthday they presented her with a platter of beautifully carved fruits (to share between the 4 of us) as a dessert, again on the house. Can't praise this restaurant enough.
