“Best Chippie!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

I treated a friend to dinner at the Chipwick in Worthing. It was spotlessly clean and served the best fish and chips I have had in years. Portions were large and the fish was thick and flaky and not saturated in batter. It is also licensed to serve liquor. My only negative comment is about the coleslaw. Avoid this side dish as there was way too much dressing on it to make it edible. Otherwise a great place to eat, but very busy so go early!

“TOP FISH AND CHIP RESTAURANT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This place is really lovely and clean with delicious freshly cooked food. There are lots of choices for all tastes each meal comes with a roll and butter it is licensed so a glass of wine can be enjoyed with the food. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. It is also a takeaway the restaurant has been done up so is bright and comfortable. Give it a go you cannot go wrong for a fair price fish and chips.

“Good, honest fish and chips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

Good little chippy near the seafront. Food was freshly prepared and very tasty - nice light, crispy batter with a large moist fillet of cod. Good chunky chips as well. Bit pricier than some other chippies, but the quality was worth it. Shared a dessert afterwards (apple pie) which wasn't overpoweringly sweet. Only downside of it being a smaller restaurant was smelling of grease the rest of the day. Busy trade throughout the day (Saturday)

“simple but EXTREMELY well done”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

In spite of my 25 years in UK, I have never been a fan of fish and chips but this place is worth a visit! It was a pleasure to see the passion that this place has for fried fish! the butter was light and crispy, no salt goes in it, the fish is locally sourced and clearly fresh. The place make a point of not mixing the oils between chips and fish, which is another excellent way of offering a high quality product, they also claim to change the oil daily, whether they do that or they just filter it shows when you taste the chips as well. It was a pleasant surprise on a day out by the coast. They also have a few wines and beers to chose from, not extensive but again good quality not to disappoint your experience. I will re-visit again for sure and would recommend without a doubt. It is simply great to see people putting their all in what they do and it shows!

“Excellent fish and chips in Worthing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

We've visited Chipwick a number of times and have never been disappointed. Fresh fish, crisp batter and plenty of chips. If the weather is inclement, eat in the restaurant, but if the sun is shining, eat your fish and chips on the sea front which is just 100 yards away - but don't forget to bring some pickled onions!
