“Away from it all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

I have stayed at Eastwell Manor on a number of occasions and have never had a bad stay.

Having had rooms in the main building and in the muses, everything is most pleasing.

The main building has an elegant atmosphere and a delightful restaurant. The menu is varied but not overwhelming.

The food at the fish restaurant is also of quality.

With large grounds to walk around, it feels like you are in the middle of the countryside, which is exactly what it says on the tin.

I will return.

Our second stay at this hotel, after our first stay was so nice. Service is good and friendly. Dinner in the main restaurant was very good every night. The rooms were supper on both stays. Very peaceful set in so much countryside. The spa is good too , my wife said treatments she had were the best ever. A wonderful place for a short break. Will be returning.

Stayed one night midweek in the manor house and we were really impressed. The staff are friendly and very professional. The manor house is just beautiful and our room was perfect. We have stayed in some hotels where the bedroom was roughly the size of our bathroom here! Welcoming sherry, fruit and mineral water in our rooms. Slept perfectly as the hotel is set in its own extensive grounds so no traffic noises. Also no noise whatsoever from other guests in adjacent accommodation. Lovely breakfast served in very attractive dining room. Would really recommend a stay here as a bit of a treat.

We made a last minute decision to get away for a couple of days having had a pretty up and down few months. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming throughout. The bed was super comfy and the food was fantastic. We would particularly like to highlight, and indeed thank Richard. He clearly loves his chosen vocation and demonstarted that he is the absolute consummate professional, He was charming, funny, helpful and his assistance throughout our two day stay made a huge difference. We felt like we'd really been looked after and as a result will no doubt return. Thanks again.

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay and that the staff were attentive. Unfortunately one of our boilers in The Pavilion did break down recently which would have affected the temperature in the main pool. All fixed now. However, we do also have a very large and very warm hydrotherapy pool with jets, steam room and sauna. Come back soon.

We chose to stay at Eastwell Manor for one night during Valentines weekend, we were in the Sir Thomas Moyle room and what a gorgeous room it was! A glorious 4 poster bed with a bathroom as big as my house at home lol :) we ordered room service as soon as we arrived and have to say our sandwiches were fresh & yummy as well as our giant home made chips! The pool was huge and felt like you'd stepped back in time as it had that Romany feel to it! Steam room, sauna & jecuzzi were great and very relaxing too as u can imagine! Staff were extremely friendly to us and we even had the lovely Richard taking numerous amount of photos standing on the stairs to get the perfect shot, ha! Food was absolutely stunning and the waiter that was serving us was so attentive and brilliant at his job, made us feel really comfortable throughout the evening and got a well deserved tip from my very merry Husband! The pianist that was playing during our 4 course meal was a pleasure to listen to and I found myself singing along to the melodies! I knew most of them :) when we finished our
Meal and went back to our room, rose petals had been sprinkled all over the bed along with some chocolates on our pillow which I have to say made the evening even more romantic,I will leave the rest to your imagination ha! we chose to have breakfast brought to our room the following morning and put a couple of extra requests on the
Menu and was pleasantly surprised that these were carried out no problem :) we checked out early as we wanted to get back to our gorgeous little boy who was being looked after by nanny but soo didn't want to leave and will def be returning sometime soon! I would like to thank all of the staff at Eastwell Manor for a gorgeous and memorable stay! X

I absolutely loved our 2 day stay at Eastwell Manor. The spa facilities are lovely. The pool like something in Ancient Rome. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage and so had the place to ourselves. It had a small kitchen and a lounge.
The log fires in the main building added great atmosphere although I felt sorry for the staff who have to stand in the considerable fumes all day. Something needs to be done about the efficiency of the draw of the fires.

The building is fabulous and resonant of Cromwellian era although built in the 20's.
Food is gourmet. Rich and delicious. Drinks very expensive unsurprisingly.

Just one issue:

Wanting a sandwich at lunchtime, we asked in the Pavillion restaurant. We were told they only do paninis. Fair enough. But I knew I had read on the web that sandwiches were available at any time so asked where we might get one.
The response: " I have no idea" is not conducive to a good customer experience.
"I'm sorry, I don't know. Let me find out for you"
or "I'm sorry i don't know but I'm sure if you ask at reception they will be able to tell you" would have been more satisfactory.
A training issue seemingly.
So 4 stars instead of 5 because of one small fly in otherwise gorgeous jam:

Room Tip: If you stay in the cottages, be aware you may have to share.

Delighted you enjoyed your two days with us. Sorry about the sandwich issue. We do a good selection of sandwiches or bar snacks in the Manor Bar and the staff should have known this. Will now ensure that they are aware and smoke salmon is always available and 'smoked receptionist' will soon be available as well!
Hope to see you again soon.
