This was my first visit to Footprints, and had I have not had my mum with me, who has visited here before, I would not know anything about this amazing place to eat. The sunday lunch consists of a carvery and we had the choice of beef, gammon or chicken or a combo of the three meats. The portion size of the meats were very generous, a choice of yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, stuffing, cauliflower cheese with brocolli, carrots, peas cabbage and gravy made from meat juices. Everything was homemade and organic, even down to the horseradish. The dessert was in with the price and they had a good selection to choose from. Each item on the dessert menu was explained to us and I chose an apple and cinnamon sponge with custard. The sponge was very light and the cinnamon was very subtle and again, all homemade. The staff were very polite and friendly and very informative over the source of the food. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and one of the best sunday dinners I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning in the very near future.
