“Good journey breaker”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

Ideal location for a stop off when traveling on the M40. Very peaceful location with views of the country side from our room. Room was comfortable and spacious, and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat in the pub next door but did have a drink in the bar which was cozy on a cold damp evening.

We stayed here whilst visiting our Daughter who lives nearby, as usual Premier Inns are clean, pleasant and ideally situated. All that you could want is contained within your room. Good value for money as usual, the pub next does not infringe on your stay, did not have a breakfast whilst staying here.
No problems checking in or checking out, plenty of parking spaces overall excellent stay with no problems to note.

Stayed here quite a few times for work. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very comfortable. Usually eat in the pub bar next door but always find staff a bit rude and unwelcoming. Does not put me off but would be nice to have a friendlier welcome when going for something to drink and eat.

We stayed here this weekend as a stop over while visiting Bicester outlet centre, the outlet is a 20mile drive from this hotel but we knew this when booking. The lady who checked us in Julie Ann was lovely very friendly and very helpful she told us everything we needed to know and told us about the restaurant the Wobbly Wheel next door, we ate both dinner and breakfast here. The hotel room was very nice and clean for a bargain price of £19! Dinner at the restaurant was lovely and service was very quick with friendly staff, breakfast is a bargain at £8.25 for all you can eat! I would defiantly stay there again. We also brought wifi £3 for 24hrs bargain!

not that thats bad, good value clean, quiet rooms at a reasonable price and out of town.It would be an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds also handy for Coventry,Warwick and even Stratford on Avon.We didn't try the restaurant as we ate before arrival, and always take breakfast elsewhere as the value is poor.

a lovely quiet stay on a budget in november 2012- in the area for an exhibition and looked for somewhere cheap to stay- premier inn fitted the bill nicely...

the room was clean , cheap and perfect for our needs, we were welcomed by Cath on reception who was fantastic and welcoming....

the overnight stay was excellent and i would happily stay here again.....

now onto the wobbly wheel- the brewers fayre located next door where you can eat..... we had dinner and breakfast here....

dinner was typical brewers fayre stuff- all quick cook chilled ready meal kind of stuff..... steak onion rings, deep fried fish, chicken wrapped in bacon and BBQ sauce, pie of the day, that kind of stuff....

you are shown to a table but then go to the bar to order and pay for your food.... no sooner had i paid and our starters arrived....
so definitely not fresh or cooked to order ..... it had sat under heat lamps or in a hot hold for some time, plus it was clear the deep fried stuff would have looked and tasted better if the oil had been changed in the fryer.....

the main course came shortly after and again it was pretty naff and mostly deep fried.....the savoury deep fried 'garlic' mushrooms were crunchy on the outside and still semi frozen chilled on the inside.... not great...

we paid in advance for breakfast, 'the premiere breakfast' - this gives you a buffet style offering of toast, cereals, muffins, pastries, fruit salad, tea coffee and juice and then a full cooked english breakfast ... you cooked breakfast order is taken at the table.... we ordered two breakfasts with sauasage, bacon , eggs hash browns ...

.and about 8 ot 10 minutes it arrived....after requesting sausages with both breakfasts, they arrived minus the sausages.....as soon as we raised the issue of missing breakfast items they were quickly brought to us..... but how hard is it to get it right ???

the premier inn is great, the location is rural and peaceful.

the wobbly wheel is just slapdash and the quality of the food is just not great, ......personally i would give the place a miss and use some of the local pubs that do food locally, the gaydon inn or the antelope in lighthorne heath.....both are about 5 miles away......
