I stayed for 2 nights, most Premier Inns are pretty much the same, but the layout of the bathroom is different in this hotel, it has an odd door that opens into the bathroom and as it does closes onto the toilet cubicle which is separated from the shower by a opaque glass screen. it seems very odd, I prefer the original bath with shower over. But the room was very clean and quiet apart from an incident of the fire alarm being activated. the adjoining harvester restraint is not as good menu as is usually found next door to a premier inn.

No atmosphere, no soul, but a very comfortable bed in a large room with triple-glazed windows to keep out the traffic noise, and everything clean. Fine for a one night business trip, and if you don't mind eating in a Harvester.

Have been to this hotel on many occasions and always receive a warm welcome from all the staff.
Recent stay 02/03 - 07/03 was again very nice although the room number 123 was quite cool but the reception lady ( Monika) immediatley sorted me out with a portable heater which sufficed my needs, and ensured my stay was as pleasant as normal.
Thanks Monika.

Room Tip: Upper floors warmer in Winter months

Not too used to Premier Inn's, we had one overnight stay on our way to a family function in Essex and booked a twin room with a breakfast included. Car parking was plentiful and the staff at reception could not have been more helpful or attentive. The room was large and immaculately clean.

We were initially a bit concerned about the potential for road noise as the hotel is situated close to a major traffic island, but as we stayed on a Saturday night, the road noise on the Sunday morning was all but non-existent. Likewise, got to say that the hotel itself was peaceful throughout the night.

Breakfast the following morning was served in the hotel dining room. We had ordered the "premier Breakfast" which boasted in the hotel guide "eat as much as you like". We ordered exactly whichever items we wanted from a large list of cooked items available and when ordering we were asked with each selection "how many would you like ?". Whilst waiting for the cooked meal we helped ourselves to the breakfast starter buffet, including toast and drinks, Got so say most unusual to have the choice of crumpets to toast. We could actually see the Chef cooking the breakfast which was good and we could see that everything was freshly cooked. The breakfast's themselves were excellent, perfectly cooked and of really good quality.

All in all a pleasant stay at the Premier Inn, the crowning glory was that most memorable breakfast. Got to mention that without exception all of the staff were friendly and professional - well done to the team.

We chose the location as close to Leigh on sea and Southend on Sea. Easy access to both places, right opposite a huge Sainsburys (great for bed picnics) and next door to a Harvester.
This hotel was easy to find and we received a warm welcome by reception staff. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the car park and was clean, well decorated and warm. We had enough towels for 2, the shower was excellent as amazing water pressure (the best hotel shower so far).No extractor fan in bathroom was the only downside, was like a steam room after showering! TV was a good size, tea and coffee in good supply and staff on reception very happy to give us more. The bed was a bit hard for us but beds are very individual things so difficult to cater for all.
I loved this hotel, Premier Inn are so much better than Travelodge in my opinion, well done x

I often go to Basildon/Southend on sea business travel and i always go to this premier inn because the location is convenient (close to highway London <=> southend on sea).
The personal are friendly. The room are correct and confortable.
The restaurant "the harvester" has a good pub and the food is correct. When you order a main course you have access to a tasty unlimited salad bar.
