Fernydale Farm is possibly the best B&B that we have stayed in. Our host Yasmin was lovely and very cheerful, offering us a hot drink and home-made cake on arrival - which was delicious.

We (myself and Husband in a double room and our son and my Mother in a twin) were very pleasantly surprised by the clean, well appointed rooms and beautiful en-suites with M&S toiletries.

Yasmin recommended us a good local pub - The Oak at Hurdlow - where we had a lovely evening meal.

Sunday morning came and we all thoroughly enjoyed a beautifully cooked breakfast with a huge amount of choice.

Sadly we had only booked for one night but we certainly aim to go back there. The farm is in a lovely setting and our son was given a guided tour - showing him the cows and calves, which he really enjoyed.

We would highly recommend this B&B.

We stayed 4 nights in this wonderful B&B surrounded by the peaceful Peak district .
The B&B is adjacent to a working farm for dairy cows but they were well behaved and we had no trouble with the few "moos" .
The rooms are delightfully furnished even offering a flat screen TV's downstairs and also in the ensuite bedrooms.
Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh.
For breakfast we were given a menu which we completed the evening before. The extensive choice for breakfast even included smoked salmon as well as any type of eggs, bacon, derbyshire oatcakes, etc.
We were able to relax in a large conservatory which overlooked the meadows with the cows grazing .
I think this was the best B&B that we have ever stayed in U.K and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We made to feel very welcome .

Me and my dad stayed at this lovely b and b for 3 nights in june, this is the first time we had been to Derbyshire and felt that this b and b was in the ideal location being only a short drive from towns such as Buxton and Bakwell, as well as being close to sereval walks and we even done a walk from the b and b. Yasmine and bill who run the b and b were very friendly and most welcoming nothing was to much trouble for them, and they gave good advice about local pubs to eat at and had sereval books/leaflets for us to reference walks and local attarctions around the area.
The room and bathroom itself was nicely decorated and lovely and clean, with good facilities such as kettle with well stocked teas, coffee etc along with flat screen tv, and hairdryer (but unfortuantly found this the morning after i had washed my hair!- so if you stay here and want a hair dryer, little tip its in the top draw of the dressing table)
The breckfast was yummy with lots of choice, being a vegan Yasmine kindly got me some soya milk to have, which i really appreciated.
No matter where you were in the house there were lovely views all round even in the breckfast room and conservatory.
If you are looking for a place to stay in this area and you dont mind cows i would definatly recommend this b and b.

We had a excellent week in this lovely B & B in the delightful setting in Earl Sterndale. This is a fascinating working farm and the hosts Bill and Yasmin Nadin were so helpful and made us very much part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble - the accommodation was very comfortable and the food was excellent. The location is ideal, being only a few miles from Buxton with good walks and interesting sites within a few miles. We intend to return to this wonderful find.
