“Last Minute Booking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

My time here was brief but very welcoming with lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Called on the off chance around 9pm on Sat evening and got the last room available. Clean and comfortable room. Lots of local information and reading material. Warm welcome at breakfast and lovely views through the dining room window. Highly recommended

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had a wonderful time. Roseleigh overlooks a beautifull park (The Pavillion Gardens) and some of the rooms have views overlooking it. Our room was very comfortable with on-suite. Breakfasts were excellent and the owners even supply a list of eateries in and around Buxton. Buxton is a loverly place to visit or to use as a base for touring around. There is no lift so you could have 55 stairs to climb (but it's worth it).

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Pavillion Gardens if possible.

Just home from a 2 night stay. We had a warm welcome from Maggie and settled in very quickly. We had a busy weekend 'sightseeing' but so happy to be based in a fabulous location, enjoy excellent breakfasts and a comfy bed. Everywhere in the guest house was very clean and tidy :) would definitely stay again. Parking available, but a bit tight/steep - and one night we parked on the road but that wasn't a problem at all.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an absolutely lovely time. We received a very warm welcome, and the owner Gerard is so helpful and knows so much about the local area. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable and luxurious, with a beautiful view across the lake. Breakfast was delicious - we had a full English fry-up every day! We felt very spoilt and had a lovely time! I would definitely come back again

We came across Roseleigh late in the evening with nowhere to stay and how pleased we were, we stayed two nights and received a warm welcome in delightful surroundings .The whole family work very hard to offer an excellent and comfortable place to stay. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever had in a guest house. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have views over the lake,

We stayed 2 nights with friends and were pleasantly surprised at the excellent service and levels of comfort provided. The family worked very hard to ensure we had all the relevant information to enable us to enjoy our stay and served us very efficiently during our stay. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Rooms with a view of the park are best.

The Roseleigh guest house offers quality accommodation and good food set in an excellent location. We had a lovely bay-fronted room, overlooking the park and its lake. It was a pity we couldn't stay longer as we enjoyed our stay so much. However, the next time we visit Buxton we will certainly return to the Roseleigh.

Room Tip: Room 4 is superb.
