“Caves on a cold day.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We went to visit the caves after a day in Buxton, wasn't expecting that much but was pleasantly surprised to find the cavern an interesting an educational experience. The visitor centre is pleasant and informative whilst the caves themselves offered plenty to see.

The guide was confident and knowledgable and seemed to enjoy showing us around.

Good value and well worth a visit to anyone coming to the Peak District.

“A Wonderful Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Poole's Cavern is certainly worth a visit. Magnificent natural caverns with many geological features. Our guide, Brendan was informative, entertaining and made the experience enjoyable. There has been a great deal done to make the visitor's centre comfortable and the cavern's paths are good. Well worth a visit.

“well path cave with fantastic guide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The cave has great view with beautiful stalactite and stalagmite together with teddy bear for the Christmas period. The path is good and not treacherous as other cave i have been. Having said that they may improve the lighting to make it more dramatic. I have to mention the guide, sorry I did not know his name. But he has ginger hair to ear length. He was professional and enthusiastic and his commentary made the trip very interesting.

“Nature's wonders”

A brilliant little network of caverns. The stalactites and stalagmites are great and at this time of year you will find Santa's grotto down there.
