“Lovely place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Hi,

We stayed at these cottages in June of this year and it was a really impressive place to stay and very reasonable. The drive into the grounds was so pretty and the terrace the owners had on the side of their own home was just so beautiful. The owners were so warm and friendly and thought of everything in the cottages, they were finished to a really high standard and we all had a great time staying here, very friendly and adorable dog too!
We had just gotten married and the owners had left us wine, a card, scones and biscuits (all home made) which I thought was extremely thoughtful.
Thanks again,
Maud and John

Myself and my two friends stayed at this amazing little gem in Tipperary. We has access to amazing countryside, restaurants and the amazing Rock of Cashel. Marianne and Ed made us feel so welcome, they were so helpful and we were delighted to share a week with them and their creation. It is not often you get to stay in a unique place with unique people. We plan to go back for a few days next year for a family wedding and if time permits I would love a few extra days to relax. Proinsias, Breda and Ann.

Room Tip: The Cottages are great value

We have stayed here twice in two years in late August/Early September 2011 and 2012. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time here and how kind Marianne and Edward were to us. They have always made us feel at home and are so thoughtful. Marianne always has homemade scones and tea service laid out for our arrival and eggs and milk in the fridge. Edward always checks in to see if we need anything and gives us wonderful history lessons!
We have stayed in the Keavey Cottage and the Tee Cottage and both were wonderful. They are very clean and filled with everything you could need! If you are a dog lover, Indiana is a fabulous welcoming party each time you return! We are so spoiled every time we stay here, that we don't like to stay anywhere else now. We highly recommend staying here!

Room Tip: Any of the cottages are lovely. We can't wait to return to stay in the newest one, The Groom'...

I visited Tipperary for a wedding in April and as I was travelling over from Australia decided to spend some time in the area with family who live in the UK. We stayed in Keavy cottage (i think) which was really large but homely and a fantastic spot with plenty of room for myself, parents, sister, brother in law and my niece and nephew (who are 1 and 4). We had more than enough amenities and everyhitn gwe needed for a weeks stay. Marianne and Edward were fantastic and had the heating on for us when we arrived along with the kettle boiling for a cup of tea and chocolate biscuits. Their hospitality continued throughout the week and they always had plenty of ideas for things to do. The kids loved playing in the gardens with Indiana the dog and there was loads of room to run around outside and play football and games. The location was very rural and quiet but within a short drive to amenities and lots of good site seeing spots. I would recommend a trip to Blarney Castle and Cashel along with some of the rural areas which were great for a walk. If i ever make it back over to Ireland I would certainly stay there again and recommend you do the same. Coming from Australia, with the current exchange rates, I found Ireland really good value too so its definitley worth a visit.

Stayed here with my wife and 8 month old. We were in "Keavy Cottage".

Was very plush and lived up to the luxury tag. A rare thing with self catering. The best thing was that it has everything we needed - like a real home.

The cottages are in the grounds of lovely manor house. It's not too far from Cashel and some amazing walks. A nice place.

There's also a outdoor pizza oven. The owners said they'd spark it up for us but it was a wee bit too cold! Be good for the summer.

What a fantastic place to stay! I travelled with my two Aunties to explore Ireland and meet up with family in nearby Cork and Tipperary. This location was fantastic with all amenities very close by and views to die for.
We stayed in Keavy Cottage which is the larger of the two cottages. It was ideal. We each had our own room which were all beautifully decorated. The bathroom has a bath and shower which is very powerful. We were provided with plenty of towels.
From the moment we arrived at the Cottage, Marianne and Edward made us feel completely at home. We were shown to the cottage and on our arrival there were eggs, sauages and milk in the fridge and bread, biscuits and some teabags to last us at least the first day until we found our way to the supermarket.
The kitchen is very well equipped for anything you may wish to cook, even down to a George Foreman grill!
There was a very helpful folder in the cottage with leaflets on all of the sights and tourist spots.
Marianne and Edwards were PERFECT hosts and were always on hand to point us in the right direction for a great day out.
Also i cannot complete this review without mentioning Marianne and Edwards dog, Indianna. He stole my heart that week!!!
We will definately be returning. Thankyou

I was travelling with my boyfriend and another couple and from our time of arrival to the time of departure, this was a fabulous trip.

Upon arrival at the beautiful Kilfeackle House we were warmly greeted by Marianne and Eddie and, shorly afterwards, escorted to our cottage. The cottage contained absolutely everything a person could need, from a squishy sofa to flop in, to a fully equipped kitchen to potter about it, to a very welcoming living area to chill out in.

Little extras were everywhere - each bedroom had a bedside locker stacked with magazines and books and the fridge had a welcome pack in it so that we didnt have to worry ourselves about how to rustle up a cuppa.

Marianne even provided freshly home made scones - there is no end to this couples hosting talents.

Marianne and Eddie provided lots of information on places of interest and we all enjoyed our time so much that we stayed an extra night.

This is definately a gem of a place!!!!!! In the words of Arnie Ill be back.
