Having seen this mentioned in a "Vegan Monmouthshire" leaflet, I knew I had to eat here. The chips are fried in groundnut oil and they even have gluten-free days, catering for many dietary needs.
We double checked to make sure today's batch of chips hadn't been cooked with the meat or fish and they were some of the tastiest chips I've had to date. Not at all greasy, with the perfect crisp/soft ratio. If I didn't have my dog with me, I would have eaten in the welcoming restaurant area and will be doing so in the future.
I ordered a small bag of chips and it was indeed small. However, it filled a gap without making me feel overly full so really the size was ideal even though it was a lot smaller than your average small portion. My boyfriend had some sustainably sourced cod to which he states that the batter was cooked to perfection and the nicest he's eaten to date.
