“Dog friendly pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Found this venue on doggie pubs website and what a find. Warm welcome not only to ourselves but also to our beloved pooch. Excellent meal freshly cooked , well presented, good portions and more importantly at a cost that wouldn't break the bank. Doggie treats offered to the dog what more could you ask for. Will certainly be the first of many visits . Staff very welcoming and accommodating, well done .

“Good food good service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

Saw this restaurant advertised on A48 Newport to Chepstow road so we thought we would give it a try. We were greeted by the owner/chef and made welcome even though we did not have reservation. The food was excellent and well cooked and all the staff were very friendly. Would certainly recommend a meal here.

“A little gem of a place - Between Chepstow and Newport.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Never a disappointment. Keith, Sue and the staff always make us welcome. Sunday Lunch is well worth a try. Good choices and plenty of staff so you are never left waiting. Most of us had traditional Roasts for Sunday Lunch but my mother opted for Crab and Prawn Salad. There was so much meat she was able to have a 'Doggy Bag'. The Roast meats were tasty and tender and the plentiful Vegetables were perfectly cooked. Very good value.

“Poor service average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

Lovely location, visited while staying in wales for a family wedding. Visited on a Friday night, very little atmosphere, staff very sullen and unwelcoming. Food is expensive for what you get, and you get average pub food, my sons steak was over cooked. Visited many places locally during my week In wales and this place just wasn't up there with the others.
