“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

We booked a two-night stay just a couple of days in advance. The owner, Doreen, was friendly and professional, and the Bridge itself was inviting and clean. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. While the 'house rules' (particularly around using the electric toilet) appear somewhat strict, we got the impression this was due to understandable house pride. The breakfast room is small but pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. Overall, definitely good value for money, and we'd return for a second visit without hesitation.

My partner and I booked to stay at the Bridge for one night last September. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend staying there to anyone. The room was immaculate and has everything you need and Doreen is a fantastic host. The breakfast was amazing as other reviews have already stated.

We have just stayed for 8 nights for the "Perthshire Amber Festival" in this sparkling clean and comfortable b&b, the hosts Doreen & John make you feel so welcome. The entrance smells beautiful, rooms are warm, the bed was really comfotable with crisp white bedding. The room has everything you need, Tea/Coffee, a hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast ordering system works well, you choose the night before and then look forward to it arriving! It was always delicious
There is so much to see in the area and a walk on the banks of "The River Tay" to see the Birnam Oak should not be missed.
We would certainly recomend The Bridge to our friends and hope to go back again ourselves

The Bridge was a beautiful place to stay, and Doreen an excellent, genial host. Everything was really warm (important in March in Scotland, when so many places can be freezing!), comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was delicious; sharing the breakfast room was a fisherman who stays in The Bridge every year - high quality makes people do that. Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Bridge in June whilst on a cycle tour and found it to be excellent.

Doreen is a very friendly and helpful host who made us feel very welcome. The room was on the small side but was clean and comfortable with a good shower and good toiletries.

Doreen really excels at breakfast. There is a good choice of items and we were asked several times if we needed any more to eat.

I don't understand why people complain about choosing breakfast the night before - B&B's are run by people renting out their spare rooms and they do most of the work themselves. It makes sense to stagger breakfast times, so that guests aren't kept waiting for their food and the host can plan ahead. I felt sorry for Doreen as although we turned up on time for our breakfast, the other three rooms turned up late, at the same time as us. This meant that she then had to cook breakfast for 7 of us at the same time - how rude of people!

Also, B&B owners are more or less tied to the building all day unless they offer specific check-in times. I don't think it's unreasonable to have a few hours of the day where they can leave the building to do whatever. Remember you are staying in somebody's home. If you want to come and go as you please, go to a hotel!

Anyway, rant over.

As others have said, don't visit Dunkeld without going to the Taybank for a pint or two. This is one of the best pubs in Scotland in my opinion, and you'll get a warm welcome (especially if you play an instrument!).

This was our second stay at The Bridge. We stayed 5 nights because we knew from experience that there is so much to see and do in the area. Location is great -- right in the centre of Dunkeld and opposite the small supermarket if you need food or groceries. Our room was at the front and there was some noise early in the morning but it did not bother us. You have to carry your bags up the stairs but it is worth it. A lovely large bedroom, impeccably furnished. The owner is a wonderful, friendly host and provided us with wonderful breakfasts and lots of help about good places to visit. True Scottish hospitality!

Room Tip: We have only stayed in the 1st floor room at the front and like it very much

I recently booked my extended family into The Bridge B&B and my relatives couldn't fault it; it is extremely good value; immaculately clean; comfortably furnished; every convenience catered for, including Wireless.
Breakfast is not to be missed; I had the privilege of partaking in John's cooking after spending a night with my cousin in the twin room.
Service is outstanding; Doreen is a delightful and friendly host; always smiling and is happy to help wherever possible.
Scottish hospitality at its best from charming, welcoming hosts. Thoroughly recommend.
