September at Kinnaird had been so wonderful that the opportunity to stay at this lovely house was seized upon with glee...
Although the house is, as ever, lovely, the couple who greeted us so warmly in September have left. To be fair to the new housekeepers, they are new on the scene but at the prices charged for this place, they should have been able to meet us at the door, or known how to turn on the fires... or if not then someone who did know, should have been present.
In the morning we sat down in one of the window seats and started our breakfast cereals only to be told we would have to move seat as this was "reserved" (there was no reserved sign).
A bit embarrassing in front of the other guests, tactless and nonsense.
Breakfast is still lovely although the black pudding had to be snapped in half it was so brittle!
mmmm.... not sure if I would go back, think I would rather pay a couple of pounds more and head up the road to Kinloch....
